Default New here, first post- long time WW member

Hello all! I'm new here, still looking around and seeing what all is going on on this site. I'm a long time friend of weightwatchers. I witnessed my mom's success with WW growing up and tried it for myself just post highschool. Was very successful but 3 babies later (number3 is 6months old) I've got a chunk of weight to lose and I'm looking forward to the day I can say I'm at goal and maintaining.

I'm excited about gleaning encouragement and challenges from this forum!
Feel free to direct or enlighten me about what all is going on here.

Hi Sarah,
Welcome to 3fatchicks. I am a Weight Watchers member also. Just became a lifetime member few weeks ago. This time around I have been with Weight Watchers for 6 years and finally made my goal, it was slow but it came off. If you would like to chat, feel free to add me to your Yahoo messenger if you have one. Or you can send me an e-mail in 3fatchicks. I weighed in class today gained 1.8 but I am going to still try to keep it at a certain weight.

Sarah,

Congrats on the baby I've been doing WW on and off for about 4 years (had two babies in that time too). I think you will find soem great support here! If you are looking for a great group check us out at the slimmin' sistas! Here's the link http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=180. We're a group of mostly WWs. Those ladies are awesome without thier support I don't think I'd stick with it most days. Anyway welcome!!!

Lisa-Congrats on making lifetime! That's great!!! It's enocuraging to see someone who took their time and got it done!!!! Sometimes I feel like I've been doing this FOREVER!

Hi Sarah ~

I remember before your last pregnancy that you did very well on WW ... Have you decided on core or points? I have been doing points but may try core ...

Congrats!

I just joined 2 weeks ago. I am down 5 lbs thus far. I've tried a whole host of things -- my own plan (lost about 25 lbs), exercise (lost another 20), South Beach (lost 13, left and gained 11, re-joined and lost 6, but re-gained about 15) and now WW. It's been 2 years and I've been able to keep off about 45 pounds (of the original 55 I lost) but WW seems to help.

It's doable, though slow going. But I think I can do it this time. If I lost 1-2 a week, I will be golden for my wedding in September!!! And of course, for life in general!

Sorry I didn't get back sooner ladies, I didn't see the setting to ask for email notification of replies.

cowgirl73160- Huge CONGRATULATIONS To hit lifetime is such an awesome accomplishment and I look forward to joining the ranks of the committed!

MistySeptember- Thank you for the welcome Babies have a way of both distracting us from our goals and making the goal all the more important! I'm looking forward to hiking, biking and running with my kids with ease

sassybrat25- congrats on your success so far- you're really cruisin' And good luck to you and hubby when you start your 'trying' journey. If you would enjoy reading a birth story, here's mine http://www.teamhadjes.com/birthstory.html
btw, I love the monkey for each 5lbs!

princessredtights- Thanks for bringing my attention to this post. Glad to see a familiar friend here. I'm doing points this week and will likely do the same through the holidays. Holidays for me mean a lot of friends and family and out of home functions so I'm thinking points will be easier. I'm still mulling it all over and experimenting. I weigh in tonight and am looking forward to seeing what happens.

jenne1017- congrats on the upcoming wedding! Dh and I had a September wedding

Well mamas this week is going good. I was able to hit the gym once, and going again today at noon, did my stretch video twice so far (sure I'll need it today too after the gym). Regular exercise is for me, and most people, such a challenge so I'm feeling particularly victorious this week. Also I've been finiding the point values of some of my fave holiday recipes and thats been an eye opener!
