Default November-come out fighting!!

Here it is, ladies.

Another new month. Another opportunity to WIN in the battle of the bulge.

You CAN do it. You ARE worth it.

Throw out that nasty Halloween candy and let's take a brisk, refreshing walk!

To start November right, I walked 6 miles roundtrip to the local mall and back. (maybe farther, got a bit lost on the way home, lol)

A bit achey in the knees and butt, however, this is a super route and I have to do it again. I'm thinking of scheduling it into my Thursday and Sunday. That way I have to do it, not just think about it.

Spent Halloween with my girlfriend, her boys and my girl. Made a viking goddess outfit for the girlfriend. It was a hoot! Complete with huge, honking breastplate and outrageous horned helmet, it cost about $2 to make it from old plastic ice cream buckets, papier mache, old paint, aluminum foil, joint compound, and duct tape. She added a cape, sword and shield from her kids' previous costumes and yarn braids. She was Valkyrie incarnate. Though she did have a complaint about the weight of the "boobs" after we walked the streets for a couple of hours. LOL

I am so glad to have broken the 250 barrier. It has been a weight" on my shoulders for at least a year. So, on to 245 and below!!

Howdy all!

I've been re-reading the October posts. And have decided that Y'all ROCK!! Lots of good things going on with adding exercise and making better choices. (that one is my personal bugaboo)

Took a short walk this AM and have promised to do some extreme mopping in the kitchen & breakfast area due to a broken glass bowl & a lightbulb in the same hour! lol

Unfortunately, lots of today's goals include sitting on my butt. So, I have to make the mopping worth lots of points.

Have a date with my lunch buddies for Olive Garden. The breadsticks don't callm my name so much as the pasta faglioli. (sigh) And yesterday's eating was way outta control. I've certainly eaten more than enough junk to make up for the 6 mile walk and yesterday's gym session. Grrr So, self, what are we gonna do at the Olive Garden...?

Have a super day and make those great choices!
