Default So Close to Goal

I'm so close to goal but I just can't seem to get that last few lbs off. 2 months ago, I was 3 lbs from my goal, last week I was still 3.8 lbs away. I seem to go up and down a few lbs either way each week. I just can't seem to stay on track now for an entire week. I keep thinking I should go back to the Dr and get that note giving me the okay for a higher goal than WW would let me set. I've been against doing that because I fell it would make me a "quitter". I've been doing this for 1 year this week, and I've lost 84.8 as of last week, so I know I've done well, but these last few weeks have almost made me feel like a failure anyway. Maybe I should just opt for the higher gaol and been done and ready for maintainence. Any ideas out there??

How about upping your activity for a couple of weeks? Go to the video store and rent a workout DVD or something. Activity got me through my slump!

SandiM? Why not try reading in the Maintainers Forum? There's lots of folks there who are near or at or under goal. There's also lots of tips on how to fight those few pesky pounds.

Those last pounds are the hardest and really try us.
What kind of exercise are you doing? Vary it every day for a week and see if that gets your metabolism running better.

Thanks for the advice, I check out the maintainers forum. I'm trying to add a couple more days of walking in. I have a few Pilates DVD's but I have a hard time with them. At my age I guess I'm not so nimble, some of the positions are impossible for me, but I find I can get a good deal of brisk walking done, so up until now, that's been my coice of activity. Maybe I'll try a different form of DVD, thanks for that tip.

Oh man I am so right there with you sister.... I have lost around 50 pounds on WW in the past year and for the last 3+months I have struggled to get rid of the last 5 pounds that I need to lose to make goal... I do so well during the week and think that the weekends are good (use all my 35 flex points) and then come WI day nothing or very little.. I work out 5-6 times a week doing The Firm workout videos and jogging 3+ miles.... I can't figure out what I am doing wrong?!?!?!
