Count me in with the Slimmin Sistas. I am a re-joiner, as of this week. I had all the materials already, but no real success with the 123 winning points. (Weekly meetings were a disaster...) So I really don't know the difference between that and core or flex. But I'm glad to find a good support group. Now my question is: what about the wendie plan. Has it been good for you? I seem to eat more points on the weekend anyway, so I might as well plan foar them. Also, I am not far from the next level down. Should I wait until I am really there, or make the jump when I'm still a point away. Thanks!

I vote for the move to the Groups & Clubs section in the WW Forum, since then we can have varios threads within our main heading. How about if we let Amanda know our preference by midnight tonight and she can let us know the winning option when she tells us the winning name. Is that OK, Amanda?
So the question is this: Should we stay where we are in the WW General forum or become a self-contained "group" under the Groups & Club heading within the WW main area? Boy, once we get this all figured out, we'll have lots more time and energy for general chatting! LOL |
Maggie! You go girl! I definitely think it should count for at least one point- Oh, how I wish I was getting my exercise that way! :o lol Well, back to pounding the pavement for me I guess!
About the forum business- I don't think anyone is going to get mad at us if we keep posting our threads in the ww general board, but 3fc created those club forums for just this sort of thing, and I think out of courtesy for the whole community we should probably keep our group threads there. It doesn't mean, of course, that we can't read and post on the general board also, or anywhere else for that matter, but as far as our general support chatter that should probably be out of everyone else's way. Does that make sense? If you're worried about having to navigate from one thread to the next, something you can do is subscribe to the forums and threads you like (for instance, I'm subscribed to the ww general forum- where we are now- and also to this particular thread) then when you sign in, open your User CP (control panel) and your forums and threads will be listed for easy access, all in one spot. Alternately, you could use the forum jump option at the bottom of every page. To subscribe to a thread or forum, go to that thread or forum and select Thread Tools or Forum Tools and select Subscribe. Do we need to vote on this? I certainly don't want to seem as though I'm pushing to move if others don't want to, especially after jumping the gun yesterday! :) I don't really care that much- I just like our group and everyone in it and want to make sure we are all sticking together- and sticking to plan! We'll get it figured out! In the meantime- I hope everyone is having a good day! |
I would love to join you and I vote Slimmin Sistas but hope I find you again. Reason to leave out summer because it will take me way past summer to do this! But I am determined to see it through this time.
I love for a snack WW chocolate bar they are only 1 point and taste like real ice cream I have one for a big treat nightly after dinner. |
Kudos to KFC
Of course, everthing KFC serves is obscenely high in points, but the Web site does have this great tool: http://www.yum.com/nutrition/menu.asp. It lists the KFC menu, and you click on items you want and it puts them on your "tray." When your "meal" is complete, you click calculate and it breaks down the whole order according to calories, fat, protein... everything. Once that's done, it's simple to calculate points. (Although when I tried to calculate my splurge on Saturday, the points finder didn't go that high!) More restaurants should offer these kinds of tools on their sites, as well as easy to figure nutrition info on their menus. I wish more would team up with WW to offer points values on their menus too, like Applebee's does.

Maggie you crack me up!!! I would certainly count it!! But just a tid bit of info for ya, not sure if I agree with it or not....I have fit day software and sexual activity is listed in the exercise area. It figures for "sexual activity at an intensity level of active, vigorous effort" (their words not mine) you burn 102.3 calories per hour, it is a little less than a very slow walk (which they estimate to be 136 calories per hour). But it's your call...you know how intense it was
The kids I watch have left :woo: I feel bad that I am happy like that, but Lord I needed a break today!!! I worked with my clay to avoid eating this afternoon. My uncle opened a small store and ofered to sell my little clay creations for me. People have been telling me for years I could sell them, well now we'll see. I skipped breakfast and ate a homemade sub for lunch about 10 points. I am super hungry right now. I guess I don't really have a vote as far as where we are. Can we just create a sub forum in teh groups and clubs or does a moderator have to do that? Something we might have to consider. Oh well I am just enjoying all the conversations and interaction! Susie-I haven't tried the Wendie Plan, but what I do is try to save all or at least the majority of my flex points (or banked points when I did winning points) for the weekend. that gives me leeway b/c weekends are hectic here. Well off to make some more little critters. Enjoy your day!! ~misty |
Taking a break from the insanity that is Utopia to see what you ladies are up to! ;)
Welcome to all the new gals! :) Don't worry...if we end up moving, we'll be sure to let you know! Quite: Yeah, I don't mind tabulating the votes for both the name and whether or not we should move. Personally I like a bit of organization, so if moving to the Clubs area would file us away and make us a little more organized, I'm for it! :) Well, I better get back to the book. *sigh* Just ten more pages, just ten more pages, just ten more pages. Why is it that such a short little book (84 pages) has proved more difficult than a 400+ page book (Paradise Lost)? Have a great day everyone! ~Amanda |

Finally, a day I'm proud of!
First off, can I just say Panera Bread's Strawberry Poppyseed Salad is the bomb!! I LOVE IT!!! And, according to my "sources," it's only 4 points!! If you haven't tried it, I certainly recommend it!!! Yummy, yummy, yummy!!!
Here's what my day looks like: Breakfast: 1 cup Kellogg's Smartstart plus Soy Protein cereal (3 pts) .5 cup skim milk (1 pt) Morning Snack: 1 cup watermelon (1 pt) Lunch: The amazing salad from Panera (4 pts.) Can I join you guys ... PLEASE????
Not new to WW (just started 14th week) but am new to 3FC and really haven't hooked up with a group as yet. So when I saw your first WW Newbies post had to check it out ... and thought "oh well, I'm older than those guys" so didn't post. Well, I've been reading your posts and have decided you are definitely the group for me ... any group that figures APs for sexual activity is the group for me! So NOW I know why I'm out "poundin' the pavement" at 6 a.m. And the Izzy-girls swimming adventures made my day. So if you have room for me I'd like to be included ... Bev
|
Hi, Bev!! I'm sure there's room for more!!
I see that you live in SW Wisconsin. I use to live in La Crosse!! I miss it there! My parents live about 35 miles west of Prairie du Chien. I hope you're not a Packer fan, or we can't let you join our group!! Just kidding!! |
Welcome Bev!
Great job being on week 14! I tend to fall off around week six, which is next week-SO, I am glad that I have this group to "cheer" me on thru the 6th week and on and on and on and on..... You guys ALL rock! Have a good night! Izzy |
Hey Bev! As far as I know age isn't a factor here! :) Our goal is to just help encourage everyone to get healthy and stay happy. Aw. ;) Welcome to our humble, but happy, group! :)
Oh and Izzy: you'll make it through this sixth week! We'll make sure of it! ;) Good luck everyone! ~Amanda |
