Default question of the day 1-4-05

What exercise/sport would you love to learn? What is holding you back?

I already play golf, but I'd love to learn to play better. What is holding me back? Money and time.

Always thought I'd enjoy playing tennis as well as paddling. Barrier has been a certain amount of shyness at just how bad I'd be (at tennis) and time. I'm taking three months off this summer. This may be the year!

For me its biking. Really, rode as a child, but haven't ridden a bike since then. This is holding me back from doing a mini-triathlon.

okay, its out in the open.

Rollerblading for me. DH is very good and wants to teach me but I think I'm too much of a klutz.

Pam, I like to rollerblade, but I've never learned to stop. It's best if I go on bike paths where there are no cars. If DH is good, let him teach you. I highly recommend getting all of the protective pads you can especially knees and hands/wrists. Take it from Numero Uno Klutzo.

I want to learn to rollerblade only because there is a weekly rollerblading trip through the streets of Paris that I want to participate in!

I figure skated competitively as a child, it can't be that hard, can it?

lala, actually figure skating would help you a great deal. I rollerskated as a child and that was almost no help. It's because the wheels are in a line. The best way to stop is a hockey stop, but I could never master that. Did you ever do a hockey stop?

I'd love to run a mini marathon or a mini triathlon... What holding me back? The insecurity that I *think* I can't do it...
