I am a lifetime member and I have always gone at least 3 times per month to weigh in. This May and June I am going to be out of town a lot and I was wondering: If you just weigh once per month does it have to be the first week of the month or can it be any week in the month?
Thanks!!!
Terri
Lifetime members can weigh in on any day of the month. As MiniMom says, the first time in the month you weigh in is supposed to be the weight that is recorded, then you can weigh to keep tabs on yourself. Just as long as you weigh in once in the month, you are fine.
Thanks MiniMom and Anne.
I have been weighing 3 times per month and get charged everytime because I am above goal. Am I supposed to get charged everytime in the same month?
I heard the saying "You weigh you pay".
Terri
If you are above goal, you must pay. If you are at or under goal, you can weigh in any day you want within the one month period. For instance, if you weigh in the first week of May, you can then weigh in any time in June. That was how it was explained to me at my meeting. But as long as you are over goal, you must pay for every meeting you attend.
Terri
You may go anytime during the month to weigh in. If your very first weigh in for the month is within your two pound range you are FREE...............even if you return later in the same month and are over your 2 pound allowance. However...if you are over your 2 pounds and you choose to weigh in every week.you will be charged for weighing in weekly until you are back with in your two pound limit. Actually the rul;es should be printed on the back of your attendance book.
Hope this helps!

I am assuming this is the same everywhere, but there is a difference between weighing in and going to a meeting. Weighing in at a scale costs if you are not a lifetime member and not at goal by 2 pounds.
In my meetings, I can go to a meeting and as many meetings as I want, no charge. I could probably go to the meetings, not weigh in and continue that until I got to goal again.
Your card used for weighing in should be stamped with a date that indicates when you have to weigh in again. So some people use the first meeting of the month some the last, as long as it is by that date.
My Lifetime daughter is over goal and she pays when she weighs, plus she has to pay for other weekly meetings she attends, even though she may not be weighing. Both her center (6 hours from mine) and my center charges Lifetime members over goal for attending weekly meetings and not weighing in. So to attend a meeting once a week, regardless of whether she weighs once a month or 4 times a month, it still costs her $11 per week. So she usually skips a week because she can do that and not pay. If she chooses to pay only once a month, she can pay on a Monday and attend additional meetings that week, thru Saturday. But if she wants to attend a meeting anytime the rest of the month, she has to pay that week, regardless of whether she weighs in or not. We are franchised with new owners and before them, LT members over goal could weigh and pay once a month and then attend free for the rest of the month. But they changed their rules here last year. It sure isn't fair, because we hear of other members who still attend free after paying only once for the month, and this should be the same everywhere...I am really irritated about this.
You are very lucky. If you, being a LTM over goal, lived in Texas and attended my daughter's center or mine, it would cost you $44 a month to attend one weekly meeting each week, even if you weigh in only once a month. This is why I don't think it is fair that franchises can follow different rules....
I agree. I feel luck that I only pay when I go to weigh in.. I am 5 over goal and I have been going to the same leader for 2 + years.. She is a doll and never asks for $. I also get replacement slide rules and other stuff that gets yucky in the Kitchen. I feel sorry for those who pay extra for the stuff that is part of the program and frankly can not understand how they can charge $12 for a replacement sliderule made of cardboard. I think if it were made of a plastic that can be washed that would be fine but all my stuff lives out on the kitchen counter, and I know that is fine because I can always get another one.
I also feel badly for those who pay for the weekly meetings as LTM. I was under the impresion that the LTM status gave you the ability to go to as many meetings as you like. Maybe the key is to walk in the door and just go sit down for the meeting.. if anyone ask just tell them that you are a LTM, but chances are they will be too busy to notice. I ussualy say hi to my leader them walk right past the line for the scales. I have never been asked to pay, nor would I pay. I think it is part of the program and after all doesn't our sucess make the program that much better and if we have to pay for the Extras that should be included, does that make us fail and the program fail? If we do not have the tools it is much harder to do.
I would like to think that this program is designed to teach us to be good to ourselves and to use the tools that WW provides without it being so expencive that we can no longer afford to go.
Thank you for letting me vent on this topic. Varriations of this have been floating for awhile and I have not said anything, but I do agree that LTM regardless of their weight should be treated as such not as if they are starting all over.
Tato,
I do not think that is fair either. I know at our meeting you only pay when you weigh if you are over 2 pounds.
All franchises should be the same. I'd like to find out why they aren't all the same.
Thanks everyone!
Terri
