Red face Could you please help me??

Hi and thanks for taking time out to read this. I'm on week 2 of Weight Watchers Pure Points. A friend of mine got it for me as a gift. The program is British. I live in the USA. I believe it's the same point system as we use here in the USA but the food it has in the data bank is mostly British Products. I really like the software I just was wonder if anyone else in the US is using it. I'd like to find a ww buddy. I don't know if I count as a weight watchers member since I don't go to meetings and I'm using the software. Here's some of the features of the software. A cal. so you can add your points, a daily log, a person entry so you can log your weight it's in stones. (14 lbs is close to a stone) Your hip and waist measurments plus some other things. Does that sound fairly close to the American WW? Now if your still awake I'll tell you about myself. I'm female and I just turned 40 and I've had some medical problems that helpped me along with my weight problem. I was just taken off my meds and then started WW. My weight was 239 on 7-9 and 234 on 7-14. I'm very excited since I hadn't seen the scale go down in a very very long time. I feel really good about WW. I'm also very scared I won't "make it" any advice or support would great!
Thanks again for your time.

Mez- Way to go! Five lbs is a great start! I have a close friend who was almost at your exact weight in 2000. She attended WW for a few months, then just did it on her own sporadically for the next few years. Right now she is at 175, and looks amazing!!
Your software sounds similar to the WW online that is here.
I am also doing WW (again) but on my own this time, trying to save $$. I have done the program, fairly successfully in the past. Before my first pregnancy I lost 65lbs on the program. After the pregnancy I lost another 40. Now I have regained some, and hope to lose 20/30.
Now theres my boring info. I would very much be interested in chatting back and forth and supporting each other!

Hi SaskieMom thanks for your reply. I think it would be great to buddy up. I'm new to this fourm or any other for that matter. How would you like to chat? I have yahoo. I seen there was java chat on the URL but when I went to all the rooms no one was there. Or do we just chat like this? I'm ready to give you all the support you need. Thanks again for your wonderful reply.

Hi there, as a 'Brit', I would just like to let you know that as far as I can tell, the US plan seems very similar, I follow the Time to Eat plan here in England, and most of the chats I've had on here seem to correspond with the same basics. I would probably recommend though, if you are sticking to the plan, to get hold of some sort of US shopping guide, you should be able to buy one on the WW website, as our products in the UK are very different from yours over there. Have fun and good luck.

Hi Dawny, Thanks for your help. I wasn't sure if that was the case so I had been figuring out the points with the cal and adding them in the food search data bank. Great tip on the shopping guide. That should make things even easier. I've also been going on the net and getting the info on all the places to eat in my area. It has came in really handy when I went out with friends and I didn't feel left out. I feel really good about this thanks for taking time out to read my babbing and the good luck.
