Talking

Okay, let's get serious. Memorial Day is less than two months away, and I'm not even talking about July 4th. What are you going to do to stay OP, keep the newness going, and reach your WW goals?
I'm including in my goals an exercise program that I have been very lax about . What are you going to do? Any new ideas or fresh perspectives?

I try not to look too far ahead. Makes the journey look to long, since I have quite alot of weight to lose. But I look toward each new 10%. I am 3/4lb from my 1st 10%. They wouldn't let me weigh in naked or I would have made it this week.

I plan to continue to come to this site, for inspriation and quidence. I try new recipes all the time. It is amazing the wonderful food you can make that is low in points and is nuitrious.

I have been doing water aerobics for the past year now but I am going to start something new soon, because I am really getting tired of my old program. And when that happens I can find all kinds of excuses not to do it.

I think for the first time I finally have accepted that this is going to be my way of life for the rest of my life. I will need to count points forever. It is a shame it took me untill I was in my 40's to finally grow up and realize this and accept myself as I am. There was a signature I read once that stated, "Never let a wishbone be where your backbone ought to be." Well, I will wish no more.

Yes summer is coming fast. I am having a hard time staying OP as it is. I think once my body gets used to the time change I am going to get up early and workout before work. I am so darn tired when I get home so I am going to try to put me first. If it means going to bed a little early then so be it. Going to bed early might help with those night munchie problems LOL I have been at this struggle for so many years. Right now I feel awful at this weight and I will keep fighting. Boy I can be a big emotional eater. I had a tuff day at work with a jar of hershey kisses sitting there and of course I can not eat just one or two NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LOL gezzzzzzz I get so upset with myself. Well I am up for any new ideas or suggestions anyone has. We are all worth the fight :-)

Hey Sue,

Definately go to bed a bit earlier and get up earlier and exercise. I am never tired anymore! I love it! I have an exercise bike and I used to ride it for 2 or 3 miles about 2 -3 times a week. So maybe 6 - 10 miles a week. I am now up to 25 - 28 miles a week! I ride for 5 or more miles at a time for 5 times a week. I actually dread the days I dont ride. This coming from me, "I dont have time to exercise, I hate mornings" person!
Try it and see what you have to "lose"
I think my stomach is getting flatter faster as a result of all this exercise!

Lynn

Down -22 pds now!

I am taking one day at a time. If I can make it thru today OP then YAY for me! I am setting mini goals because for myself if I start thinking...OMG I have 60- 70 pounds to lose, it discourages me and I fall off the wagon. So, for now I am not thinking about summer, but focusing on today.

I am drinking my water, and trying to stay in the points. I am back for the third time to WW, and this will be the last. I am keeping motivated by going to all the personal wesbsites of many of the posters. Reading success stories, looking at before/after pictures, nothing helps me more then that.

I am not doing excersing though as I have arthritis which limits even everyday movement. My focus is on eating properly and drinking water.

The other thing that I am doing is letting my husband in on it this time. Last time I was just so embarrassed that I never told him about any of it, and hid everything, didn't eat with the family etc. etc. This time I am sharing my feeling for food with him....which is so hard.

Good luck to you!!

(hugs)

Angie

Yes, I am definately thinking about summer. About WARM weather. I am tired of being cold. I also want to loose the next 17 lbs so I can hit my 100 lb mark. I, as of now, have about 43 lbs to go to reach my ww goal(set by Dr.), but about 53-58 to reach my personal goal.
My hope is to hit the 100 mark by the end of June, but I will take it as it comes I guess. Just do my best. Hope everyone enjoys the coming summer.....Sis

I can't believe how fast time flies! When I have events or holidays coming up I make a plan. I started with Easter then I have a family reunion in May, then Memorial Day etc. Depending on what I'm doing, I'll decide what I want to look like on that day and picture myself. Then I'll do what I can to get there. I plan menus with my WW recipes. You can make a whole Memorial day feast with WW recipes! I start collecting new recipes ,too. Then I decide what to wear. Maybe buy a new outfit or earings, or get my hair cut. It's motivation for me! I'm doing this again after being off track for a while and it is helping soo much!

I'm so happy to see this thread!

I am thinking of summer and the fact that I'm going to be home more (yay!) and more in control because of it.

I'm also going to try and get to goal (12 more lbs) by September. I am setting mini-goals along the way, so if I get somewhere I'll be satisfied.

I know that this year I'm going to try and mix up my routine, try some trail-running and hiking along with my gym routine and try and break out of my rut. I'm also trying to encourage my DP to do the same thing.
