Christi,
Good luck on getting to a computer somewhere. Here in the states our libraries have computers available. Is that a possibility for you? We'll miss you, but you're in our thoughts and prayers. Good luck with your weight challenges. I just figured out that hitting my weight challenge will be tough. I've got a week and a half to lose two pounds. Since I've got two weekend challenges, that will be tough, but I can do it. Especially if I get the exercise in! I find these challenges very helpful. The good thing is that because we've set up a challenge, even if I miss my goal in weight by a little, it means that I've still knocked off weight that I might not have. So, to golfergirl and Tara and Christi and everyone-- :goodvibes: and let's do this! :cb: Love, Judy 234/212.4/thinner  |
Golfergirl- Thats really great that you have acheived everything else you have set for goals!
I am on day 2 of journalling (day 3 out of 4) I need to get into the right frame of mind again! I have been doing well with the gym. It is the scale that is the problem- I have been at 170 every time I hop on, no matter what I am wearing or what I have been eating! My goals for the next week are: 1. To stay off the scale until Tuesday- thats the day I can start attending meetings again. 2. To journal every day!! 3. To go to the gym 4 days and go skating once. (Minimum!) |
Hi all,
Tara, I'm moving 10 hours from home. But I have 3 siblings close to there, so it will be nice. I'm looking forward to it, but I don't think I'll have a computer there. :( Oh, and tell me what is Taco-veggie soup, sounds good :D Are you still sore from working out? My abs are sore from situps, hope it goes away soon! No pain no gain! I'll have to try the juice too. I love juice but I don't let myself have it very often. How did you do on the scale after the juice? How many batches did you make? Oh and with the scale addiction, I'm on it everyday, not good, I used to not be so bad, what happened :?: Golfergirl, you might not make your goal, but you are well on your way to a healthier you ;) How was the gym yesterday? I've been eating bad for 5 days, today will be good. I'm way too scared to WI today :stress: It won't be good, but I can't expect it too can I? Next week will be good news. I should make it a competition with myself as to how many days I can stick with 5 daily things, drink 6 cups of water, exercise, situps, within points, and taking my medication, I have a bad habit of forgetting :( Anyone up for a little competition, you can make your own daily things? :?: Tonight I have WW and I'm not looking forward to it  Christie, return to us soon, we're missing you. :( Judy, what are your challenges on the weekend? Hope you do well with them :spin: Well, have a wonderful day girls! Diana |
I am keeping my head up because I know that I am on my way to a healthier me. I did 30 minutes of intervals (easy then really hard) on the stair stepper last night. I wanted to do more but I thought my legs were going to fall off !!!! It was good :-) I missed Monday because of the weather but will make it the rest of the days and Sunday...
Diana- I am with you on the daily competition...I need that too!! It makes me feel like it was a bigger accomplishment... Tara- I think we are on the same path with the scale not budging, but it will happen!!! All of a sudden we both will start showing the loss!! Keep it up girls!!!!!! |
Diana- the juice didn't seem to make me lose anything! But it tastes pretty good!
Judy- You should have a great shot at meeting your goal! Thats great! Golfergirl- We are even stuck at almost the same spot! :) You are right, we WILL get there! I made it to the gym again today. The only prob I have is that I am super hungry today!! I guess I may have to use some more flex pts. I really don't like this new system as well as the old one! What does everyone else do at the gym? |
Tara, way to go on getting to the gym. :cb: I don't go to the gym but I bike 30min everyday and do crunches (100) and I'm trying to get in a video. I ahve tried the walk away the pounds 3 mile and have done it twice, I like it. I have also done the fat burning for dummies (that's me  ) I use weights in the videos. :strong:
I gained this week, ladies. I'm sad :( but not too sad as I was bad for 5 days :nono: ) I am up 2 pounds. Last week I said I had fluked with my 2 pound loss and well, now I'm even. This means that I most likely won't meet my VD goal. Oh well, I will still aim for my March 5 goal. Way to go golfergirl on the stepper, that is great. Doesn't that sore and worked feeling good :spin: Okay I'm starting tomorrow with our competition. Here are my rules 1. eat within my points 2. bike 30 min daily 3. aerobics at least 3 times per week 4. drink 6 cups of water daily 5. 100 crunches daily 6. take my happy pills :D So golfergirl, what are your ambitions? :?: Anyone else in on this with us? You can make all your own rules, the competition is keeping your rules the longest. And whoever can do it the longest wins :hat: And the guaranteed prize for all is a healthier body, the guaranteed grand prize for the winner is weight loss (and a healthier body). Come on Judy, Tara, Christie, and anyone else....let's do it :coach: Goodnight, |
Tara- Isn't it frusterating?? But all we can do is work it off. My exercise schedule is... Monday: 30 minutes (7miles) on the Bike
Tuesday: 30 minutes (2miles) on the treadmill Wednesday: 30 minutes stair stepper Thursday: 20 minutes bike 20 minutes treadmill Friday: Whatever I want for at least 30 minutes Sat & Sun: Make-up days if I miss during the week I would like to take it to the next level, but as it is I don't get home until after 6:30 and I have a 2nd job that I do out of the house so I don't get to be at home and unwind for very long as it is. Diana: My weekly goals!!! 1) EXERCISE... at least 5 days a week... 2) Water, water,water... 3) Green Tea 4) Eat breakfast!! 5) NO Candy!!!!!!! 6) Have at least 1 salad a day those should be easy goals, but we all know that things come up and we stray from them, so that is what I am going to accomplish on a weekly basis. I am NOT going to look at the scale because if I am keeping my promises on the goals it will be what I need to lose weight and watch my body become slimmer!! Thanks girls... Keep on track!! |
Hi Guys,
I'm doing well. Getting in exercise and hitting my target points. I have to watch salt, so I'll be careful in that area. My rules are to keep doing what I'm doing in a positive manner. Here's to success to all of us! Love, Judy :grouphug: 234/212.4/thinner |
It sounds like everyone has a plan in place! I will try to find 6 rules for myself too:
1. Journal! 2. Go to the gym at least 4 times a week! 3. Lots of water and green tea! 4. Stay positive! (This means staying away from that darn scale!) 5. Go back to my WW meetings, even if it means going with MIL. 6. Eat lots of veggies...and try to cut back on carbs! Diana- I have the 1 and 3 mile walk tapes, and really used them lots when dd was really small- I would put her in the Snuggli and it worked pretty well! Oh, the Taco Veggy Soup- I posted the recipe a long time ago in the recipes section here. I think it is 1 pt for a big bowl with fat free or low fat sour cream. It is also good mixed with pasta! Judy- Good job getting your exercise in! Why do you have to watch your salt? Goflergirl- Do you do your workout at home or at a gym? Sounds like a good plan! TTYL! |
Tara- Great planning...
I am working out at the gym. If I don't pay for the membership I won't go, I am too cheap to pay and not go so I make sure I go this way!! When it gets nice outside I am more apt to take a walk. But so far so good!!! I would like to go more than 30 minutes but I just don't have the time. Hope this is enough!! I can't wait, on the 20th I leave for FL for a week!!! Yeah!! Glad it's not hot in Orlando right now because I wouldn't fit into my shorts, nor are they flattering!! :-) So I hope it's going to be cool enough for pants and sweatshirts :-) I have come to the conclusion that in the winter we actually retain the weight and it's impossible to lose weight when it's really cold. :-) If we lose weight we will be cold right :-) Anyway, I don't know if I will get to check this again before Monday, BUSY weekend!!! so have a great weekend everyone!! |
Good Morning, yeah, it's only -8 right now, almost makes me want to go outside
Golfergirl, that's a great exercise schedule :drill: keep it up :D What type of second job do you have? Sounds very busy. If you don't have more time to do more exercise and you want to step it up, maybe you can increase the intensity. Just an idea, not that I think you're not doing enough  It was a suggestion at my WW meeting yesterday. Good idea to stay off the scale  How about points, is that in your plan at all? Points is where I struggle, I simply eat too much. :ink: Judy, keep it up! Do you have an exercise plan? Or what do you do for exercise? And as for salt, stay away from processed foods, they're usually the culprit, and the salt shaker, keep it off the table. Just some suggestions. Tara, on the MIL issue. That is too funny. Stay off that scale, we don't need it to discourage you. Journaling definitely helps, do you stick within your points? I did the 3 mile tape again yesterday, it's great but she needs to shut up :D I should get some CD's out or figure out how to use the Picture in Picture thing on my tv so I can watch something else, or at least not hear her. I'll have to check out the soup. Wow, Golfergirl, Florida, that sounds wonderful, yes, I'm jealous. That's the first time I've ever heard anyone say they hope for cooler weather on vacation  but I can understand. I'm just a huge fan of heat :sunny: And as for winter weight retention, it was talked about at the WW meeting, and there are some other people that are in complete agreement with you, even our leader. There should really be a study done about it as it makes sense to me that it would be true. Well, have a wonderful weekend, don't get too busy. Christie, we're missing you, go to your Dad's soon! I have a question for you all, is sticking within your points a rule for all of you too? :?: I think it's a good idea. Have a good day, and make sure you stick to your rules as you don't want to be the first person out!!! :D Okay guys I talk too much :blah: Sorry :o :sorry: I just need to get really motivated again! Diana |
Golfergirl- I like your theory about the cold! That MUST be why I can't lose right now! :) I know what you mean about paying for the membership being motivation. It will sure be nice when the weather is warmer and it is walking weather again! It is a bit scary to walk outside with my dd, though, with the big West Nile scare. :(
What are you going to Florida for? Diana- Thats why I like the old system better than the Flex Pts, you have a range, not a target. I do stay around my target, and then I have been using a few AP or Flex Pts if I need to. It is confusing :?: though, since I am still nursing my daughter. I used to need more than the recommended pts- 40-45 instead of 35ish, to lose. My target now is 32, but I don't know if that is too many or not enough or just right....??? So I am experiementing to see what works! :D Don't worry about talking too much, Diana, as you can see I like to yap too! I am having a good day- I got a call for a job interview for next week. Maybe that will be extra motivation to work hard! Enjoy your Friday evening! |
Tara, a job interview? Tell us about it, what kind of job? Way to go on the nursing, how old is baby now? I'm sure that would throw a wrench in the points issue :)
Well, I did good today, followed all my rules. That's day one out of the way :dizzy: How did you all do? Well, gotta go, Diana |
