Question What works for you?

Let's start a thread about what's working on our weight loss journey...and what are our stumbling blocks along the way.

What works for me is drinking enough water, my body actually craves it now and I feel the weight loss with each trip to the bathroom, it also seems to help with PMS. Also, this site is a great help with support and tips!

My stumbling block has definitley been the holidays...I gained 6# from Thanksgiving to New Years, but now am back on track to make things right!

What works for me is drinking my water, journaling, and attending my weekly WW meetings.

Stumbling blocks: Weekends, not planning, and getting over hungry!

I gained as well over the holidays and found that by getting back to basics and following the Fast Track I lost 3.6# Amazing isn't it, even after 5 years of being a part of WW that we still can "veer" off the path. Thank goodness we know what to do to get back on the path.

Default What works for me ...

Keeping my cupboards OP, having lots of fruits and veggies on hand, water, journaling, Curves, meeting attendance, and trying new recipes. Also, I have a wonderful supportive husband, family and friends.

All of the above sound great & I pack my lunch box with my breakfast/lunch/snack and bring to work. Eating out at lunch with co-workers does not work well for me.
For a treat once in awhile but I have to plan beforehand. Also have a bottle of water with me at all times.

I found out the hard way that journaling matters. I thought I was doing okay, then decided to write down everything that went into my mouth...I was off by 12 points! No wonder I gained over the holidays! Now I do it religiously and am .4# away from Lifetime...yah baby!

I CAN NOT let my husband go grocery shopping without me. Even with a detailed list, he picks out the highest fat, highest calorie food ever made. Each one is meant to be a special "one time only" treat. I could just cry if he decides to help out and go shopping on his own. I have asked him instead to just buy one of each of us. He can have is regular ice cream and I can have my skinny cow ice cream sandwich. He can have wonder bread; I can have wonder light bread. He can have no veggies, but I am trying to eat 5 servings a day. You get the picture.

I can't even send my DH to the store for toilet paper! He comes back with..."I wasn't sure if you wanted the 4 roll pack or the 12 roll pack, so I got both!" you can imagine what his grocery shopping is like-it's definately a man-thing!
