Default im hungry.........

If i eat a bigger breakfast....will i be less hungry throughout the day. I was STARVING today and i dont know why.

Heres what i ate:

Breakfast- Special K cereal w/ 2% milk

Lunch- SmartOnes frozen entree and some homemade waldorf salad ( its had apple, celery, pecans, and a little light mayo)

Those 2 meals took 15 of my 26 points and left me really hungry. Im thinking it was the SmartOnes....there not very filling. Ive been on the plan for 3 weeks and havent lost a pound....i dont know what im doing wrong. (im doing the online version by the way)

Thanx for any help

Try foods with more substanance, like:
Breakfast: Egg Beaters with lite cheese, 2 pc. lite bread with fruit spread=5pts. Or Kashi Go-Lean Crunch cereal with 1/2 banana & FF milk for 5 points.

Lunch: Lite bread with lite cheese, deli select meats, carrotcelery sticks for 4 points. Or a chicken breast on a lite bun is also 4 points.

Good luck! Also check out some of the menu forums here for more ideas.

You are eating too many carbs and not not enough protein. Carbs leave you hungry after 2 hours. Protein last 4-5. Also, divide you points up so you have snacks. Eat more veggies - you can fill up on them.

I like to eat protein when I am super hungry too. It stops those cravings fast. I eat fiber and protein at breakfast and lunch and can make it until 7PM for dinner without snaking. I am one of those people that prefer to eat 3 larger meals and no snacks. But I thin most people prefer slightly smaller meals and 2 snacks. I just do not have time at work to eat or think about eating. My mind barely registers the time when I get on the computer.

I agree with Quilter... protein makes ALL the difference! If I eat a bagel with FF cream cheese for breakfast and some coffee at 7:00, by 10:30 I am RAVENOUS!

But if I eat a couple eggs and 2 slices Canadian bacon or reg. bacon, I am good till at least 1:00 pm.

Tuna, cheese sticks, eggs, little meat roll-ups with mustard, are all good snacks to tide you over.

Try entering a day's worth of foods into www.fitday.com and see what percentage carbs/fat/protein you are eating. At 26 points you shouldn't be starving, and you should also be definitely losing weight... Do you usually eat way under 26 points? I find I lose more if I eat all the points I can - minimum target plus activity points plus flex points.

Sounds weird but I think it keeps my metabolism revved up. If you stay too low in points, your body will think you are starving and try to help you by slowing down your calorie burning.

Try fitday.com and tell us what you find Good luck!
