Default I am Back, and Ready to really be a Loser =-)

Hi Everyone!!
I originally started WW on 6/30/03, and started at 177. I was able to do a few weeks of WW and then became Ill. After having Surgery at the beginning of this month, I am restarting today, and can now really focus on it. However, I can't start activity until Wed, 8/27/03 when my "restricted" activity goes back to normal.

My Surgery actually made me want to loose the weight even more so. I suffer from Severe Endometriosis, and Weight Loss is an Alternative Approach to helping my condition. Thus giving me another incentive.... After 5 Surgeries the most recent one August 8th of this year, I have decided that disease is not going to wear down my body at 23 (I will be 24...2 weeks from today)

I would like to have children one day, and in my condition the best thing for me to is loose the 30 lbs i want to loose, and start eating better!!! So I am looking for Buddies, and any help anyone can offer !!!!!

Thanks!!!

Hi Jennie! Welcome back! You are starting at a great time the new Flex points just came out. This is my first week on it so it's like starting over. I have PCOS and can't have kids which was a big let down for me because I always wanted children. I do hope all goes well with you and your pursuit to be a mommy! Welcome to the boards!

Default I'm back too

Hi everyone,
I did WW a few months ago before my wedding and lost over 12 pounds in 6 weeks then went off b/c of stress and time with the wedding. I am coming back today and could really use support. I find the hardest thing is temptation and I have no will power. I am determined to do it right this time and stick with it.

Hi there,
I also have endo, and my advice to you is not to put things off!!! Had to learn it the hard way. Luckily I have a great son, and was diagnosed after I had already had him, because I was told after my last endo surgery I will not be able to have any more....so in all things....weight loss and endometriosis, I say don't put off til tomorrow, what you can do today!!!!

Thank you!! And thank you to everyone else for the great support, and advice. I just got the ok last wed to go back to normal activity, so I plan on starting excersise this week, last week I had way to much catch up cleaning, errands to run and just didn't have the time at 930 at night!!! But I made sure not to overdo in my eating :-) SO i made it a whole week and feel great about this plan. It was so easy!!

This is the day!! I'm officially back OP after eating unconciously for over a year.

I know the kind of commitment it takes to change my life and I'm emotionally and physically ready for the challenge. I looked at the South Beach Diet, but decided WW was the way for me to go because it is "real" and involved making good choices not eating foods I normally don't even like.

Having done the meeting thing already, I'm just going to go it alone this time. I can use the $$ paid to WW as my non food rewards. I really never felt like I benefited from the meetings, but that's just me.

Anyway, I'm excited to get started and will look to you guys for support... and I've been known to have a good idea once in a while too. LOL

Jennie

I've found several reasons for the weight not to come off when I thought it should have:

1. Good ole monthly visitor
2. Increase in salt... ie frozen dinners, canned soups, canned vegetable... all sneak salt in while you're not looking
3. Not drinking enough water
4. Or worst yet... a deadly combination of all of the above!!!

The good news is, the extra lbs are just water and when you get your system flushed back out, the scale will reflect the loss next week.

I know a gain is discouraging... just remember it's not just about the scale. It's about taking better care of yourself and getting healthy. (Save this post and send it to me when I stall out;-).
