ww and Disney

  • This may not be the correct place for this message but if anyone could help I wpuld be grateful. I am from the UK. I have been at ww since last September and have lost 4 stone. Iam still 235 lbs so I have still a long way to go even though I feel good at the moment. I am going to Florida in July and am really worried that I will not be able to fit into the theme park rides. Any advice anyone?. Thanks
  • I doubt you'll have any problems. Here are links to 2 boards to visit. They are about Disney and they both have sections about "special needs":

You will find all kinds of great Disney info there! Found them while researching my October trip.

    Have fun!!!
  • Hope this isn't too late to help you, but it may help others, anyway. The following link gives info (and pictures) called Walt Disney World at Large, regarding rides and the types of seats - low bar, high bar, bench, etc, and lots of comments from people who have been to WDW.

I weigh more than you and went in May - I had no problems at all. There were lots of big people there having fun and I know you will, too.

    Anyway here is the link:

After you read that part, click on the main page and find out what all is going on at Disney, plus lots of hints and comments.

    Have a good time!!

  • I am a Disney FANATIC. We try to go every year now. Just can't get enough of the mouse. Deb's site that is listed above also has menus for most of the restaurants. This will help you plan! I never plan tho, I just wing it. With all the walking, I have never gained more than a couple pounds, and they come off pretty quick once you get back. Tho everyone is different.

HAVE FUN, we are going in November!!
  • You will have no problem at all!!!! I weigh 325 lbs and have no problem on any of the rides. Don't worry and have a fun time!! And make sure you do all the rides, even the kiddy ones accomodate adult plus sizes!
