Hi Saskie and 2 sexy, I was only down .8 not as much as I would have liked, but I had a good loss the week before so I'm not too worked up over it. I am adding back those 2 points too starting next week. I hope that will help the hunger I had the last two days.Starting tuesday I will be able to add the treadmill back into my workout! I aso have to mention how helpful and motivating it is doing these posts. :D Well I'm off to get my hair cut. Mabey it will show as a loss next week

saskie 03-10-2001 10:11 PM

JustMe,
Congrats on your loss! if you were really hungry this week, it might be possible that your body needed those extra two points, so I would say go for it! Thats great that you are getting your stitches out- how long have you had them in for? Did you get a new hairstyle, or just a trim? How far until you are at goal, now?
I made the mistake of baking my cookies this am before work, because I was out and had a few extra minutess...bad plan- I used a lot of points eating them, they are so good:)
It's funny, I have been eating them for a few weeks now and could gladly use at least half of my daily points alottment on them!
I have never asked either of you before, how old are you?
I better run for now, hope you are both doing well!

Justme 03-11-2001 04:45 PM

I got a more than a trim but bascally the same style. I also got it colored, just a semi-permanent one so I dont have to worry about it showing when it starts to grow out. I am 5 pounds from my goal. I might try to loose 5 more after that but I'm not sure yet. My stitches have been in for almost 2 weeks (as of tuesday it will be.) You sure make the cookies sound good. I will have to try and make them soon. Have a great day!

2sexy4thisbod 03-11-2001 08:15 PM

Hello there. Congrats on the loss. I am 26. I have been real bad this week I haven't done anything. Well diet wise. I have been trying to get my mother in law to start with me. I was so motivated last weak. I still want to do this but I just a having a hard time getting back to it. I don't know why there is always something else to do. But it is so important to me. So, I will kick my self in the butt and get going. I found a meeting about 45 miles away so maybe I will start going there. How much is the registration these days? Where can I find that cookie recipe? bye MW P.S. I always feel the motivation when I get on here and read your girls responses Thanks. I just need to keep up.

Justme 03-11-2001 10:10 PM

2Sexy, IM sorry to hear you had a hard week. That sounds like me before I went back to the meetings. I kept telling myself I was going to do it on my own. It didnt work for me. I need the meetings, It helps to keep me in line. :) Im not sure how much registration is. It might be different in different places too. This board is also very helpful to me too. Good luck to you. I hope you have a better week.

saskie 03-11-2001 11:32 PM

2Sexy, I bet it would help if you could go to a meeting- I know it must be hard to have tot ravel so far to get to one though! how "not on a diet" have you been?
I agree with both of you- coming here helps a lot!
I just finished 21 pages of blah blah blah technical report. better go read it over so i can get to bed tonight! hang in there!
~t~

saskie 03-12-2001 10:18 PM

Hey, girls, where are you today? I miss you! I hope you are both staying out of trouble, and staying on plan! I had a very lazy exercise day, due to sever sleep deprevation. I made up for it by cutting back to 18 pts for the day- 4 of which I still have to consume. (Yay!) Tomorrow night is weigh in, so I will find out if staying in the 20-25 pt range works for me. I had one 27 pt day, and one 18 pt day, so I figure they will balance each other out. I did not exercise as much as usual, but I figure I need to do what I like or I will quit all together!
Wish me luck, I really don't feel like there is any fat missing from my poor body!
I hope to hear from you both soon!
~t~

2sexy4thisbod 03-12-2001 11:38 PM

hello, It's me. :) Let me tell you the biggest thing I regret now. I have been going through pictures from last year and I can not beleive how good I looked. I was thin and yet at that time I felt like I was still fat and that I still had so much to lose. I bet that is what you are feeling so do me a favor and look at yourself and know you look good. I am going to try to keep a healthy head this time and keep telling myself I have done it (of course when I get back down to where I was) I haven't failed and it should help me win this time forever. :) MW

saskie 03-13-2001 10:47 AM

2Sexy-
Thanks for the kick in the butt- you are right, of course. I would like to lose a little more, but if I don't I guess things will be okay. Really I just would like to tone- you know, there is always extra flab that you just wish wasn't there! *L*
So you were at goal last year? How much would you be happy losing, now? Are you having any luck with the eating this week? You are trying to get back in shape for your summer at the resort, right? Bathing suits are a cruel invention, designed by men, I am sure! Guys get to wear trunks that cover pretty much everything, then women get these stupid underwear type outfits that constantly crawl up your butt. Argh!!!
I am finding it hard to get motivated to get to the gym lately, but am going to try to give myself motivation through a shopping excursion if I can keep going for the rest of the month. (Weekends off.) Also, I need to start planning the wedding in April, so wedding dress shopping may provide some motivation as well!
I will not be surprised if I have a bounce back gain tonight, due to last weeks horrible eating habits. Guess I will find out later!
Let me know how you are doing, maybe I can help if need be!
~t~

Justme 03-13-2001 06:48 PM

Hi girls, Good luck at your weigh in Saskie.I can totally relate to what you two were talking about with being at goal and still feeling fat.Mabey that was part of the reason I regained weight. I need to be more positive about my body.Even though I am close to being back at goal I still have alot more toning to do. Im thinking I need to loose mabey 5 more beyond goal so if I gain in muscle I wont be out of goal a range again. Does this sound stupid. I have to get remotivated to excercise again. I got my stitches out finally. So I can start doing the treadmill again but I feel like a lazy slug.I had an exhausting day at work :yawn:I went back to the old way of tracking points and I feel more satisfied. sorry for rambling on so much. Bye for now :)

2sexy4thisbod 03-13-2001 11:05 PM

Hi!
justme,I am happy you got your stitches out finally bet you feel like a whole normal person again. My husband sliced his finger up pretty bad and had to have stitches. It's all healed now but I know it is a pain. Well you girls should try Tai-Bo for toning it sure works I tell you. Saskie. a wedding how nice. I remember mine It was so stressful my husband and I felt so relieved when it was done. And I know all to well about those damn swimsuits I have to look at lots of them all summer long. It's sickening. especially when I wouldn't be caught in one. Well chow for now. MW

saskie 03-14-2001 03:26 PM

JustMe,
awesome about your stitches- i hope you can drag your butt onto the treadmill- I know you will feel better if you do!!! you are SO close to goal, i know you can do it!
2Sexy,
bathing suits do not look good no matter what. thats my theory. i was excited to go swimming a couple weeks ago- then realized my body may be smaller, but my skin is not real firm and smooth, and things are not where they were when i weighed this much in high school! *L* how is your week going?
i lost .8 this week, a little less than i had hoped for, but better than a kick in the butt!
be back later- gotta get to class!
~tara~

Justme 03-14-2001 10:37 PM

Saskie, Thanks for the encouragement and congrats on the weight loss. I didnt do the treadmill today, but I did alot of other things.I ran an errand for my mom, washed my car inside and out,did a little shopping and cleaned around the house.Hopefully that counts for something. 2sexy what is tai-bo like? I am a little uncoordinated when it comes to some excersise tapes. I cant seem to follow faster ones :dizzy:

saskie 03-15-2001 10:47 AM

JustMe, thats great that you were so active! I am also not the most coordinated person in the world, and tried tae bo a few times- i really didn't like it a lot, and never got past the intro. tape! :) I prefer to do things that don't confuse me quite so much. Lots of people really seem to like it, though!
Wow, what a hassle to try to get to the threads this morning- the 3fatchicks must be doing some more construction.
Yesterday started off so well for me- lots of exercise, lots of pts left over afer supper still...then I decided to use them for a treat. Well that went seriously wrong, triggered a little excess eating, and put me at 34 pts when my max. is 25. so much for all those exercise pts i built up! *L*
Oh well, today is a new day- only problem is Thursdays often kill me...a combination of the 4 hr drive and just general hunger that comes out of nowhere every Thursday!!! Wish me luck!
I hope you have luck getting to the treadmill today, JustMe!
~T~

2sexy4thisbod 03-15-2001 03:45 PM

Hello, isn't it nice to get outside in the spring time.. Of course it still looks like winter around here. The snow will probably take another two months to melt. It is real messy now. But the sun is shining. Tae bo is kicking and punching and hopping around. I really like it allot better then regular aerobics, I had a hard time keeping my feet untied doing those but I find the tae bo allot easier. But everyone has there own taste buds. I have all the richard simpson videos but they are all collecting dust. They are not real motivating for me. The guy on the tae bo really gets me going. I actually get excited doing it. I would give a basic video a try. It is pretty tough the first week doing it. But it gets easier. I feel real strong when I am done. And it is great for the abs. You wouldn't think so but it works good for me. Well anyway now that I have made you fall asleep I will go. chat again soon. :) MW
I am going to go shopping today and stock up on everything I like to keep me on program. It gets a little harder when your cupboards get empty. :)

saskie 03-15-2001 05:53 PM

2Sexy,
just wanted to let you know- i love long posts, theres no way they make me fall asleep, just give me more to read!:) so did you go grocery shopping yet? do you just have 1 child? do you feed your family different food than you eat yourself? i sometimes will make two different things if i am making supper/lunch for my fiance and I - other times I just modify it, or leave it the same. (it won't kill him to eat healthy!)
is your tae bo Billy Blanks? (or whatever hes called!) thats the one i tried. i should try it again, now that i actually have some abs to work with- i found his instructions to tighten your abs/butt hard to follow...*L*
what staples do you try to keep on hand for healthy eating? i find i am constantly buying popcorn, fruit, yogurt, vegetables, and lite jello.
better run, look forward to hearing from you both soon!
~t~

Justme 03-15-2001 06:14 PM

I did it! I went on the treadmill for 45 min. I almost didnt because when I got down to the excersise room (its really tiny) some guy was down there on one of the treadmills they are really close together and he was watching basketball :dz: It was really uncomfortable but I forced myself to stay down there because I knew I wouldnt come back if I left. I also did some weights. :) I got a little freaked out this morning. I stepped on the scale for a little peek and had a gain I am hoping it is because of p.m.s sorry to be gross. I had a really good week so far so there is no other reason for this. I had this happen when I had chineese food 2 days in a row a couple of years ago when I was trying to loose, I was up 5 pounds  that same 5 pounds was gone by the next week. I had chineese food this week but only once. I am tring to drink a ton of water to help combat it any suggestions :?: Good luck with your day Saskie. 2Sexy mabey I will see if I can get a tape from the library before I buy one. we are having a nice spring day here too I live in MN by the way. I better go before I write a book. :)

saskie 03-15-2001 09:35 PM

JustMe,
Great news about the treadmill- you must feel great! I have a theory that my home scale lies, so it stays in the closet most of the time, except for when I have a huge pig out and want to see if theres a major gain.
Do you have a exercise room where you live, or something? (apartment?)
MN is Minnesota, right? It was also very beautiful here today, even got above 0 degrees(Celsius) for awhile. Unfortunately, today is turning into the typical Thursday, and looking as though it could turn into a replay of last night. I had planned to have pizza tonight, which was ok- i had a personal shrimp/tomato with easy cheese. i think that it was a little bigger than I had planned, but still allotted it the same pts. ;0 now i am still hungy, and just finished trying to fix it with ff/sugar free jello. i still have plans for 2pts of popcorn, but am worried that will not be enough, and thats all i have pts for today...what i really want is the chocolate bar i wanted last night, but couldn't find...i am a maniac, obsessed with chocolate!!!! do either of you have a weakness for chocolate, or any other foods in specific? what do you do when you feel a binnge coming on? my plan is this: drink lots and lots of tea and water (to the point of feeling over full), do some work that needs to be finished tonight, go for a walk, and if i am still feeling crazy and compelled to eat i will eat a big bowl of All Bran with skim milk. anyway, you probably don't want to hear all this crap, but it helps if i clarify it someone who can maybe understand- my finace has no idea...he could eat a horse and lose 2 lbs! :)
i am oging to go try to deal with things!
hope you are both doing well! don't sweat the gain, justme, it will disappear as easily as it appeared- you have weigh in sat morning, right? suck back the water until then!
see ya!
~t~

Justme 03-16-2001 11:20 PM

Hi Saskie & 2Sexy  My big weakness is salty things. If I have things like pretzels and tortilla chips around and the bag is open most likely I will be out of control. I joke about a blur between my hand and the bag:). Yes I live in Minnesota.I live in a condominium. There is an exercise room in the building.Saskie I hope the rest of thursday went better for you. I have drank so much water the past two days (especially today) I think I am going to explode. I hope my weigh in goes ok. I actually had a pretty good week . I hope that that gain I saw a couple days ago on my scale was just a fluke and I will be down ,I deserve it this time. Have a great weekend you guys.

saskie 03-16-2001 11:57 PM

JustMe,
Good luck at your weigh-in- even if the numbers don't show it, at least you know you have worked hard- sometimes thats even more important! I am totally turning my hunger and eating over pts into an experiment, and am allowing myself to eat in a very high range from now until weigh in on Tuesday. My body doesn't seem to gain easily, so I am curious to see what will happen if I intentionally eat high. I guess I will see!
Let us know how your weigh in goes!!

2sexy4thisbod 03-17-2001 01:23 AM

Hello! I am here! :) Justme I just love all the smileys and things you put on. Where did you get the butterfly from? Well sounds like you two have been chattery today. I get lots of good tips from you two. I wish I was as strong as you two are. I am hoping to get to go to my first meeting this Tuesday. It will make me allot more excited plus the new program will be a little better then the usual 123 that I have been doing forever.
I am enjoying a moment of silence my husband took my kids out to his music shop, to play his drums. I have two children a boy and a girl 2 and 6.
My favorite staple is the new mini rice cakes the caramel and the cheese. I also like tootsie sucker pops they are one point apiece so I eat chocolate flavor for a choc. craving or a cherry for a sweet craving. My worst downfalls are doritoes or chocolate.
You should see about renting a video the billy blanks videos should be at some video store or the library. I find music to be real motivating I should play it more it seems the t.v. is always on and I don't even watch it much I like movies mostly. My fav. this year is Where the heart is. Well chow for now.. Just Me, good luck with your weigh in. MW

saskie 03-17-2001 11:24 AM

2Sexy, good to hear from you! I also like those rice cakes, but they are too good- thats what started my high pts fest on Wednesday- instead of one pts worth, I ate the whole bag! (Still not bad, only 7 pts!) How many pts are the tootsie pop suckers? If I remember correctly, they are yummy! Wow, you must be busy with 2 kids and a husband. Does that make it more difficult to eat "healthy"?
Thats great that you are going to the meeting Tuesday! Just going and being accountable to yourself and the others helps me a lot! I also weigh in on Tuesdays, so we can freak out together! *L*
Better go get ready for work!
Have a great day!
~t~

Justme 03-17-2001 12:08 PM

Hi, I had my weigh in with mixed results. Good news no gain not so good no loss.I was bummed out at first because I had a really good week, but when I got home I tried on a pair of my old jeans and guess what they fit again!I guess I must be loosing in inches. 2Sexy to get the butterfly go to fun with icons it will explain how. I had a really hard time doing it.There is also a help section that explains it. They are refered to as avaters there. there are really cute ones on other sites but my computer wont let me download them. Or I just dont know what I am doing :s: Im glad to hear that you are going to meetings. I know I couldnt do it without them also the support from you two helps too. :) I also like the lollipops that your talking about. Today is my dads birthday so Im off to see him bye for now.

saskie 03-18-2001 10:05 AM

Hey! Thats great that you are losing inches, JustMe- thats just as good as losing lbs! That must have felt great when you put on your pants and they fit better!
I had a horrible eating day yesterday. It was going ok untiil midafternoon when I got Really hungry. I was at work, so it was okay. But after work, things got ugly! :( I ate a fairly healthy meal, but then went on a miny chocolate minge afterward. I had been planning to eat higher as an experiment, bbut instead of 26-34 pts, I ended up with 61! I am going to try to do some damage control by eating lower today and Monday, and continuing on as usual! Can't take it back, so I guess I better live with it!
I am off to work, hope to hear positive things from you both later!

Justme 03-18-2001 10:39 PM

Hi, I had kind of a out of control Saturday. I usually use it as my " free" day. Only I was a more free than usual. I have no idea what my points were for the day. Ever since I first started the program I used Saturdays as free days. I know it probably slowed the loss a little but for me it kept me sane. By free I dont mean go overboard, I still ate very healthy during the day but at night had a few drinks or ate pizza without worrying. At least you have the right attitude about your day and put it behind you. :)

saskie 03-19-2001 11:14 AM

Good morning! JustMe, I know how you feel about those free days- I have had an awful lot of themin the past few months....not to mention the last few days! :) Both Sat. and Sun. turned out to be very high pt days(60-70) and instead of doing damage control today, I have decided to let it be the day I eat what I like ALL day, not just in the evening. Its funny, though, some of the thinngs I want are still healthy- just bigger than they could be! Tomorrow is weigh in, and I will go anyway. I am going to give the tracking starting with supper a try, to see how it goes! I think a switch would be good for me!
JustMe, what kinds of drinks do you have on free days? Today I am having flavored Tim Hortons coffee, but my favorite is Brown Cows, Monkey's Lunches, and other "girly drinks" that are Super high in pts.
Better get moving...I still went for a walk today and did the gym, I am just eating lots! :)
Have a great day!!

2sexy4thisbod 03-19-2001 06:40 PM

Hello there. I must say that when I was a good ww girl. I always had whatever I wanted after my weigh in. Then started counting points the next morning helped me and I still lost allot of weight. Of course I have to lose it again but I gave up completely last time. I am excited to go to my first meeting tomorrow. It is a drive but worth it for me. It is so much more motivating to go and since it is a new program that will make it a little more exciting too. I am hoping my mother in law is going to go with me.

Can I ask how long did it take you two to lose the weight you have lost? I know it only took me eleven weeks to get to 146 from 164. But I have more to lose this time and I was in sunny Mesa Arizona then. We lived there for a year. Too big for me. Well chow for now, me

Justme 03-19-2001 10:09 PM

Saskie, My new favorite drink lately is Smirnoff Ice. It tastes like lemonade. I also like mudslides they are a chocolate drink. I have no idea how many points they are, but they are filling so I cant overdo it on them. What is in the drinks you were talking about? I hope your new way of tracking works out for you. congrats on fitting in your walk and getting to the gym. I hope things go ok at your meeting. :D 2Sexy It took me about 7 months to loose 38 pounds but another 1 1/2 months to realize my body wasnt going to loose that last 5 pounds. The people that weigh me convinced me of that. I think its great that you are going to meetings. I am sure it will make things easier for you ;) Well Im off for now this is my second time typing this post. I accidentally deleated the first one and had to start over. :( I dont type very fast. You two have a great night.

saskie 03-20-2001 10:38 AM

Hello, ladies! I am feeling sad :( today, because I have been an idiot lately- yesterday was the show stopper, I ate everything that popped into my head all day long. Tonight is weigh in, and I am going even though I could skip it. I figure I need to see where I am at, in order to make reparations!
2Sexy, I am very excited for you to go to your meeting today, thats great! do you think your mother in law will go with you?
JustMe, I have seen those Smirnoff drinks, but never tried them. I will have to some time! A Brown Cow has kalhua and milk(1/2 & 1/2 some places), a Monkey's Lunch is kalhua, milk, and creme de banana- I think! I had one of each last night, during my super high pts super out with friends. I also had mashed potatos, chicken cordon bleu, ceasar salad, garlic toast, and appetizers....early in the day I had a snickers bar, 1 c of Ben & Jerrys Ice Cream, and other things that were tasty but non- nutritional. Oh, will I pay tonight! *L*
I think (hope) that I am ready to get back on the plan, and trying out a new way of journaling starting tonight might help.
To answer your other question, 2sexy, I lost my first ~50lbs in 5 months, then have lost about 10 in the past almost 3 months. I have not been paying attention to the program as I should, and that has really affected my loss!
I just wanted to come back and add to my post- I had my first real gain tonight, 7.8lbs. Holy crap, I didn't know that was possible!!! Oh well, its the kick in the *** I needed, now I will work my butt off to get that off again, plus some!!!

2sexy4thisbod 03-21-2001 01:03 AM

Hello!!!!!!!!!! I made it, I went to my first meeting it was so nice. There was allot more people there then I had expected for such a small town. They were a lively bunch. Well the bad news is I was way up there on the scale 180. Of course I ate as much as my body could hold and then some :) And they ran out of those little slipper things so I had to weigh with my huge scetchers on. Oh well then my loss will be good next week. Did either of you buy the new winning points food books or do you use the ones from the 123. I was just thinking if I should buy the new ones. It is nice to see something new instead of the old stuff that I have worn out. Well we can start on a good track in the morning. goodnight. ME How do I add a signature to the bottom of my entry's?

saskie 03-21-2001 10:59 AM

I am going to start a new thread, this one is getting too long!
~t~

2sexy4thisbod 03-23-2001 05:48 PM

Hello there. I am on day three and doing good. I have a miserable cold though so it has made it easy not to be hungry today. Yesturday was tough I was hungry. but it is like this for alcoholics when they quit drinking they want it bad. That's how I was yesturday I wanted to mow on a bag of doritoes so bad. But I didn't. I have been using my tread mill but I was going to Tai-Bo today but there is no way I can get that much energy plus my throat is killing me so I will get myself to walk though. Well I hope you gals have a good weekend It is going to be real nice here. Hopefully I can get some yard work done it is such a mess in the spring. But I am on the bottom side of a mountain with lots of shade and I still have allot of snow. Theres only a few spots bare. It is getting there though. Well, chow for now. ME

Justme 03-24-2001 01:30 PM

Hi girls, I had my weigh-in today I was down 1.2 :) I feel more motivated again, especially to exercise. Im soooo close. They suggested I raise my goal 2 pounds. If I had done that I would have been within goal range today. I really want to get back to where I was, mabey slighty lower because some of my jeans will still be to tight. I think exercise will help alot. I just have to be more regular about it. I guess I will go by the jeans rather than the weight and see what happens. Possibly these last few pounds will make alot of difference. 2 sexy I hope you feel better soon :) How are things going for you Saskie? The class I took for work was on behavior guidance. You two have a good weekend.

2sexy4thisbod 03-24-2001 11:39 PM

Hello there!
Justme, congrats. It must be so exciting to be so close to your goal. I think the key for long term success is the maintenance program. We really must learn the tricks for staying at our goal weights. Well I feel a little better today. Now my daughter has it so I get nothing done cause she wants me to hold her all day. Well, Chow for now. So do you gals have any favorite lunches? me

saskie 03-26-2001 03:19 PM

Just wanted to let you know, again, I started a new thread!!
How are you both doing? I have cut back on exercise a lot the past few days- and I guess I will continue that way until Friday, since I forgot my shoes and gym gear back home. Oh well, I need a break anyway! Tomorrow is weigh in, I am hoping to lose as much of that 7.8lb gain as possible. Cross your fingers for me!
I have tons of projects due in the next week, then finals, so I better get off to work. I will be stuck on the computer for most of the week, though, so I will be looking for you both!:)

2sexy4thisbod 03-27-2001 12:26 AM

Hello, Well tomorrow's my weigh in. I am excited. I go late though the meeting is at 6 so I guess I won't be starving myself all day like I used to . Did anyone watch Rosie O today? Sarah Furgusin was on. Rosie has been doing WW for a week and a half. She lost four pounds the first week. Anyway, did either of you get her new book? (sarah's) Sounds like a good one. Well I haven't been doing much exercise this week either. I have had this cold and just haven't had the motivation to exercise. So that will be my goal for this next week. Well goodnight for now. ME

saskie 03-27-2001 09:43 AM

Good luck at WI tonight, 2Sexy! I am hoping for good things (a loss!) myself:)

2sexy4thisbod 03-27-2001 05:46 PM

I am interested in seeing how I did this week. I know I could have done better cause I didn't exercise except for one day. But just not wearing those big black shoes of mine on the scale should lose me a few pounds anyway :) I was 173 on my mother in laws scale. so we will see what the difference is. Hi girls I hope your weigh-ins have good results. :) I had a stressful day yesterday. I was gone from 6am to 9:00 pm on monday. (my dad is in the hospital )I ate so much I was totally out of control. Today I ate really low points to help make up for it. I went for a little walk and am going to do my full workout tomorrow. I will check back later I have a ton of things to do.

JustMe,
How do you make all those different little smiley men?? I went to the place in my profile, but only found big pictures to put under my name!
Weigh in went AWESOME!!!! I lost 9.6 lbs, which totally took care of last weeks 7.8lb gain, and then some!!!:) I am totally happy, and motivated to lose the last 2.8 lbs to meet my personal goal. Then I think I will concentrate on finding out how to maintain.
2Sexy, I am waiting to hear how you did- I hope it was a positive experience!!!
Talk to you later!
