What do you do when you need a WW Buddy

  • At our WW meeting this weekend in WI, we were suppose to find a WW Buddy, this is the only one I could find..........and I think she will work find, although she may be short on words of encouragement!

I have pledged to myself to get back at this full swing, before I find myself failing, I am still ahead of the game. But sometimes it would be nice to have a one on one WW meeting.

  • I love your buddy!
  • What a cutie!!!
  • Can you find anyone in your meetings to sit next to? I have a friend doing WW on-line (like me), one doing monthly pass and another trying it herself with on-line materials. It's nice having someone to turn to (in person) that can say, hey, what are you doing?!

But, if it were me, honestly, I'd take the dog! Hahahahaha
  • What a cute little buddy!

As for buddies of the human kind, I am looking for an accountability partner, too. I have been trying to start up conversations with people in my meeting, with limited success. There are some really nice people but I haven't been able to make a connection with anyone past just chit chat in the meeting. Oh well! I'm hoping to find some online support here on these boards to help!

  • My office manager just joined WW. We go to different meeting due to our work schedules but it's great to have her there so we can support and encourage each other. We can also tell each other to not eat the junk that is so often brought into the break room.

I haven't made any connection to the people who attend my WW meetings. Of course I've only been going for a month so I am the new kid on the block. However, I have discovered that I'm one of the more talkative ones. Most people just don't like to speak up at all and I just don't have that problem.

I'm still going to my TOPS meetings just for the people. We are like family and I would seriously miss seeing them. I haven't told any of them that I'm going to WW, which does make me feel a little guilty and sneaky. I think I will tell the weight recorder and get her advice.
  • Teresa--I hope you have success telling your TOPS Weight Recorder about WW. When I told them, I got a bad response. I ended up leaving TOPS a few weeks later.
