Weekly WL Challenges?

  • Is there a section for weekly challenges? It doesn't necessarily have to be WW. But if there isn't one, maybe we can start it? I need an extra boost to keep me going every week and I think it might help.

    IE:
    Fitness Challenges: earn 4 AP a day; take 85,000 steps this week; try a new activity for you; take the stairs wherever possible (if possible); park in the last spot available at the grocery store every time you go this week; etc.

    Food Challenges: Drink at least 10 C. of water a day; try a new vegetable or fruit; make a new recipe; try a new food recommended by someone here; etc.

    Is there a place on this forum? OR, is anyone game?
  • Hmm, I don't think there is in the WW forum. If there is, I haven't seen it. I'm up for it! You may get more people if you make a new thread weekly challenge in "Chicks up for a Challenge" instead of the WW forum since it can be quiet at times... Just a thought!

  • I'd be up for it too!!! I find that if I join the 12 week type challenges, I end up slacking off....but taking it week by week (or even day by day sometimes) could be very beneficial!
  • Just returning to WW and would love to join as well. For me at least, I only lurk in the WW area, so this would be great!

    I lurk in other areas, but mostly just post in WW.

    I found the Chicks up for a Challenge section, but there wasn't a weekly challenge type thread like I was looking for.

    Since there are a few people here interested I may just start it here. If more people comment, I will start one on Monday. Does anyone have any suggestions for the first challenge?

  • I would love this!! I was looking for something similar but they all started out assuming you're already fit (ugh!). I would love something for those of us who want to become fit but maybe need that extra push to get started or the baby steps to build up the cardio/strength.

    I can only speak for me but, I've spent years putting myself down, looking in the mirror, being disgusted at what/who was staring back....but forgetting that there is more to me than fat. A good, kind hearted, funny and pretty damn smart person was in there too.

    Today ladies (and gentlemen ), your challenge is to say 3 positive, meaningful things about yourself, truly believe in them, and get into the habit of repeating these positives to yourselves everyday.
