I was just reading a WW cookbook I just bought. There is a note that if a recipe includes zero point veggies or fruit in it - such as a salad - they do count the those items in the recipe as if they weren't zero point.
That said, often the zero point stuff in salads you buy elsewhere doesn't even total a point. I love salads at Panera and on their nutrition calculator you can take out ingredients. I always take out the lettuce or other zero point items in the salad and it usually makes no difference in the point count.
I was wondering the same thing about the strip salad from chicfila. I know that 3 chicken strips are 9 points and the croutons are 2 so whenever I eat the strip salad I only count the strips and the croutons.
There's also cheese on the chicken strip salad at Chick-fil-a.
