New to Weight Watchers!! :)

  • I'm starting weight watchers tomorrow and I'm so excited. Nothing else has worked to get these last 10-15 pounds off but I think this will! How long will that take if I include running as well? Just wondering
  • Everyone is so different, that it is hard to tell you how long it will take. Expecially those last pounds. They say you should lose 0.5 - 2 lbs a week. So that would put you around 5- 20 wks. Running definately helps but it is 90% what you eat.

Good luck, hopefully it does not take too long.
  • Hi Kassi

How funny - I also need to get the last 10-15 lbs off, and I also am new to WW (only started yesterday!) I'm currently training for my first half marathon (which is on the 30th of March). I'm running rather far distances about 3 times per week, and each running session I'm probably burning close on 900 calories, so I think the running will definitely help me out a lot. How far do you run and how often?
  • hi Kassi! I started ww a week and a half ago and I love it so far! I see it as a sustainable way of eating because I can still have the foods I enjoy I just have less of them, or I workout to earn more activity points. It's working for me and I've tried almost every other "diet" out there. I hope it works well for you and with 10-15lbs to go, you got this girl!
  • I try to run as often as I can, but I have not been very consistent. I want to start running 4 or 5 times a week for about 40 minutes going 6 mph. I run on the treadmill, so I always have the incline on at least 3 because 1 is too easy. And I hope weight watchers works for y'all too! I think this is so much easier than guessing how much to eat!
  • Oops, didnt mean for that to be confusing. What I meant to say was I run as often as I can, but I haven't been very consistent. But when I do run, I run for 40 minutes on at least a 3 incline.
  • Welcome! I'm a runner, too I ran my first 10K a few weeks ago and I have my first half-marathon in October!
