Default Old Fat & Fiber

Does anyone remember and have the info for the old Fat & Fiber plan? I've tired the points system and it just isn't working for me. I really lost my weight very easily on the old Fat & Fiber plan. Unfortunately I loaned out my books and they were never returned to me. I really just need the range of fat & fiber for 150 and under if anyone has it. Thanks!!!!

I got out my old fat & fiber book the other day because I'm getting tired of counting points. There are no weight ranges in the book I have, so I assume everybody eats the same. These are the rules for women.

Limit total fat grams to between 15 & 35 grams each day

Eat at least 20 grams of fiber per day

Eat a minimum of 2 servings of dairy foods daily

Eat at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetalbes daily

Go easy on refined sugars & alcoholic beverages

I hope this is what you were looking for.

Thank you so much! For whatever reason I just do not seem to lose any wait on the points system - try as I may. I think I'm going to give this a shot. I just wish I could remember who I gave my books to!

Just sort of funny but the points system pretty much limits the fat and fiber to that (higher fat = more points; higher fiber = less points); Suggestions are to spend 2-4 points a day on dairy foods and get at least 5 servings of fruits and veggies as well as limiting the refined sugars and alcoholic beverages (which the points says you can have in moderation).

Not trying to change anyone's mind but just showing the comparisions.

People seem to just count points and ignore the Week 6 booklet, The Right Mix, that suggests ways to spend your points. They think having 25 points of junk food is the same as 25 points of a balanced food plan and then wonder why they don't loose...must be the points system.

Angry Hi,

I have seen other posts from people who say they liked the old exchange program from WW because it's more structured than the points system. Since we are all different, I say do whatever eating plan works for you whether it be WW point system, any of the older WW eating plans, or low carbing.

aleka,

No one is saying to not do what is comfortable and works for the individual. What we both have said is the programs are the same and what most people fail to do is recognized and READ and FOLLOW the selection guidelines in the Week 6 booklet. Most people once the read that booklet and understand usually come back to the points system and realize how 'restrictive' and not 'structured' the selection plans were.

Once again, QuilterinVA, you've made a rude reply to a post. There are so many ways to lose weight, the points system isn't the magic cureall for everyone. Why assume the poster is eating nothing but junk food and not losing? It could be she didn't like the point system for any number of reasons. Many people don't like it. That was a rather harsh comment, and uncalled for IMHO.

Best wishes to the original poster.

Lyn

Lyn,

I don't think she was specifically referring to the original poster. I think she was trying to add to my original post. She may have been blunt but I don't think she intentionally tried to be rude. Remember sometimes you can't read tone into the written word and sometimes we don't always write it the way it is meant.
