Default Rheumatoid Arthritis (my news today)

I knew I was losing some strength, and the pain was very obvious, but I was hoping it was not RA. I have been told by my Doctor to stop all exercise until the specialist sees me. I had only just (finally) started to exercise. Oh well, another bump in the road. Bit of a pity party today for myself, but lets hope it does not impact my weight loss to much.
Thanks for listening

I'm sorry to hear your news. I was diagnosed with RA about a year ago. I too was experiencing a loss of strength and constant intense pain. After meeting with Rheumatologist I started a regimen of meds and a couple of rounds of steroids to get the inflammation down. Since then I have been able to return to exercising and playing tennis. I successfully maintained my weight through the several rounds of steroids and now have lost another 10 lbs. I feel great but must take my medicine.

I wish you well. Many prayers and happy thoughts your way!

I tell myself that I don't suffer from RA , I live with it!

Sorry to hear about that My dad was diagnosed with RA around the same time my little brother was diagnosed with Glaucoma so it was a pretty crappy situation all around.

He has thankfully found a medicine that has started to make him go into 'remission' if there is such a thing. It's nice to not see him in so much pain, his case was pretty severe.

Good luck to you! And I'm sure your doctors will find the right medicine for you. If I can see my dad enjoying life again and having days without pain, you can too!
