Hello! I weighed in this morning and am down .8 lbs! I'm very happy with that, especially since I let monthly hormones get to me and my food choices :-P But I tracked everything and added TWO new things to my exercise routine so by the end I hadn't used that many weeklies (I take from APs first).

My plan next weekend is to start looking for a *good* pair of running shoes. The pair I have now was purchased about four years ago from WalMart because I needed a pair of tennis shoes for a one day thing. If I'm going to be serious about this, I def need to get a better pair!

That's awesome Tudor rose. TOM here too, and all I wanted this weekend was sweets. I had enough sense to satisfy that with fruit though. So, do they make running shoes that run for you? That's what I reccomend lol.

Tomorrow is my weigh in, and hopefully I'm down 2. I didn't have a loss last week, through my own fault, so it's all good

Ooooh Mondays Happy Morning everyone! Hope your weekend plans went well

Proatthis - Happy to see you around, and hello! Have a great trip to Vegas and can't wait to have you join in afterwards.

Tudor - I used to plan M-F, and yep exactly! The weekends were a little odd, but that planning (even for most of the week) really smoothed things out. Dunno why I stopped. Today I think I'll plan a few dinners out like I used to. You're absolutely right. It keeps me on track when I do plan. CONGRATS on the treadmill walk/running! Love it! And CONGRATS on being down .8 even when life got in the way!

As for running shoes, I know that Runner's World has a fairly solid Shoe Store finder. Not just for ANY shoes, mind you, but a good RUNNER'S Shoe Store. Ones that can actually help you out personally with finding the right run/walk shoe. Here's the Link. For example, I don't think there are any Dick's Sporting Goods stores shown, or Sports Authorities. But, specialty running shoes stores type of thing.

I got a pair of good runner's/walker's shoes for my treadmilling and it's completely worth it. My feet have never had problems in them. They're very comfortable.

Chele - I'm so happy you found a balance with the tea! It's still a treat, but won't set you off for that binge. DD was a regular for me, too, when I went to meetings, so I understand the call of the routine. (And just a nod to DD... I love their coffee drinks...)

Nancy - Awesome food plans I hope your dinner came out nicely.

Movie - A Winter Carnival sounds fun! I hope you had a good time It sounds like you made better choices despite it being a non-normal day.

Mammasita - Good luck on the WI tomorrow!

So, sometimes I watch the Food Network, and I always feel a little silly when I do, because I sit there thinking "There's something I'll never make. Too complicated. Looks divine, though!"

But, last night there was that The Best Food I Ever Ate show on... and it was about chocolate... So, I tortured myself watching that show about these chefs favorite chocolate foods, and of course it made me want chocolate. The awesome thing is that I had some VitaMuffin chocolate Muffins in the freezer. I just microwaved a couple up, had a glass of Almond Milk with them... it was perfect. Gooey, warm chocolate vitamuffin... glass of almond milk. Hit the spot, fit well within my Points for the day. Totally worth it.

Do any of you watch Food Network? I've got two favorite chefs there... Alton Brown & Ina Garten. If they're in anything, I love to watch it. Ina is just a phenomenal chef to watch. (Plus, ya know, her gorgeous house.) And Alton is like a mad scientist, he's hilarious and his show is both amusing and informative. Can't get enough of him.

Wow, I guess I felt talky-talky today. :x

I hope you guys have some great things on the plate for today!

I love the food network, but I don't have that many cable channels so I have to watch re-runs on hulu LOL. At the gym they get the food network but for some really odd reason that is the only channel the sound does not work on grr. Ah well

I have not planned out my dinners for the week yet but plan to do that later this morning after I take inventory of the freezer.

Have a great day all

any idea on points for chocolate covered espresso beans? I ate about 10, and counted a point for each. A little hard figuring points for dinners out, so am erring on the side of over-estimating. As such, even though the soup and salad were 0 points, I used the 14 points I had left for the day, and most of my weeklies as far as I can tell. This is fine, and allowable of course, (I saved my points up all week) but tomorrow is weigh-in day! Thats the problem with St. Valentine's day during the week. Ah well, will deal with that tomorrow. I had a good week, and earned lots of activity points, none of which were used, so I hope it won't be too bad tomorrow. Even a break even would be fine. I was restrictive enough I actually lost 2 pounds, earlier in the week, but wouldn't expect to see that through tomorrow, would i?
ANyhow, Happy St. Valentine's day to everyone, and hope we all do well.
Thanks

Moooorning, everyone!

I'm feeling quite lumpy/bloated, and the scale is definitely reflecting that today. Silly body!

Hope everyone had a lovely Tuesday, and now we're onto Wednesday. (May it go by quickly for those looking at the clock mid-week!)

Movie - You might be up a little this week, but if you keep at it you could have that off and then some by the next weigh-in.

Fatmad - I googled around, and found some nutritional information for a couple different types of Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans. The info translated into about 5-6 points per serving. The serving was about a quarter cup. So, you might be slightly overestimating the beans. That being said, I know that I overestimate my food at restaurants, because I'd rather overestimate when I'm out than underestimate. Wishing you good scale vibes for your weigh-in

I had to go into the drug store last night, and was completely spaced-out/oblivious about the whole Valentine's Day stuff until I walked in the door and saw an explosion of hearts. The good news is that I got in and got out with ONLY what I went in for and didn't even stop to look at the chocolates or candies.

The last few days I've been hit with the hunger monster, plus feeling all lumpy as mentioned. I'm going to aim to stick to just my Daily Points today. I know that the hunger feeling I'm getting is not true hunger, so there's no need to indulge in it.

Lovely, I just have to tell you, every time you post I always find something inspiring in what you have to say. So thanks for that.
I have been hungry like that all week, I'm sure it's a combo of stress, hormones, and general irritability at an irrational holiday but your line above makes a lot of sense.

Hi guys! Sooo a NSV to share... i went into the hot tub for the very first time ever.... my parents have owned one for maybe 5 years now, they live out in the country, it was a gorgeous night out. I thought why the heck not! so I got in there. I wouldnt have dared to get in there before. Wouldnt be caught dead in a bathing suit lol. So i wore a tankini top and some shorts, that was being daring for me, so i went with it. I had a blast, felt wonderful... HAD a sore back, but feels better now! what was even nicer... was when i was getting into the tub, my boyfriend says to me "wow are you ever skinny now, you look so sweet" awww... yay! hahaha.

Getting there ladies... 1lb at a time, but getting there!

MercuryBlue, what a lovely NSV, and coming spontaneously like that, sounds like the loveliest valentine gift imaginable. Wonderful!
I was up a 1/2 pound tonight at weigh in, but no apologies, I am just going to get back on plan. I am really enjoying the "free" fruit and able to eat a wider variety of veggies, so I sure am not feeling deprived, generally.
Have a great evening friends.

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a great Valentines day.

Lovely - I used to love the Food Network but it seems almost every time I turn it on now it's a repeat of something I've already seen. And most of it is competition shows like cupcake wars and chopped - which is fine I like some of them. I just miss when it was mostly actual cooking shows. I watch a The Cooking Channel some now. They are owned by Food Network but have more cooking shows.
Oh and I love Alton too. Good Eats is one show I don't mind watching re-runs of usually.

Loved your NSV Mercury Blue! :-)

Have you any of you done interval training on the treadmill? Google it and check it out if you haven't tried it. I looked into it I discovered that I was already doing it somewhat. And I'm thinking that may be part of why I've had some good losses the past few weeks. They all started when I started switching up my workout a bit. Anyway... I just wanted to mention it in case any of you find yourself stuck. It might be something to try to get you over a standstill at least.
