So, I have 26 PP's thanks to the new program, and I really, really try not to eat weeklies (or else I lose nothing!). Out of curiosity, do you trade your AP's daily or weekly? Right now, I trade them weekly, so I can overeat a bit if I want, and still have a few days to work those PP's back. I'm starting to feel like if I trade them daily, I'll be more motivated to work out more.
I try not to eat my AP's because, like your weeklies, I don't really lose if I eat them. That being said, if I do eat them, I have a "use it or lose it" attitude on a daily basis.. I don't save them up for the week because big splurges tend to put me in binging behavior that might last for days, instead of the one day.
I use the APs on the day I earn them, too. I try to eat my APs and never really touch my weeklies, although that might change a bit now that I am down to 26 daily points.

Currently I've set DP at 26, WP at 33 and set them to be used first and then I keep the AP as a reserve in case I go over on the WP. So I allow the AP to be used weekly (last week I used my 33 WP, a few of my AP while this week I expect to not even use all my WP).
I use them daily if I want to, but I usually use my WP instead of my AP. I like the idea of using them on the day I earn them, but I usually earn them and save them and use my WP instead.
I definitely don't use AP I haven't yet earned.
I used to start my week on Thursday and splurge over the weekend and use up all my WP and then be good for the rest of the week. Now I start on Monday and I must confess, it's really a lot more fun splurging on the weekend AFTER I've been good all week than it is splurging first and then having to be good to make up for it.
I use them weekly and I have it set to take AP first (I also lowered my weekly to 25). When I exercise during the week, I do it after work and I work until 9pm. So there's no way I could easily use them same day or else I'd be eating at, like, 10:30pm! And I don't want to overguess how many points I may earn later and be wrong
So I generally save them for the weekend when I am more likely to go out to eat or my meals and meal times are less structured and predictable.
I have mine set up to use the AP before the WP. I don't use all my WP, well if I want to lose I don't. I'm so short and menapausal that if I get into the WP much I don't lose.
I use them for the week. I try not to save up for a splurge because I have a hard time reigning myself back from splurges.
My leader has told us that our AP are reset weekly, so you can use them anytime during your usual "week" and that you use your AP before your weekly points.
