Default Weekly Points?

Hi all,

I'm in my first week of doing points plus online and so far I'm liking the way my daily points are working out, but I'm wondering about the weeklies. I only have about 15-20 pounds to lose and I don't know if using the weekly points are going to significantly slow down the weight loss/prevent it. Do you guys use your weeklies? What are your experiences with this?

Personnally, I figured out I can use about 10 weeklies without getting impacts on my loss. If I use more, I'll lose less...

I guess it depends on the person

do you count alcohol? I kind of overdid it and had about 5 glasses of red wine last night (it was the end of midterms for me, I had to celebrate), which I thought was fine until I calculated the points value!

If you want to do it right you need to count everything you consume, so, yes, you count alcohol I don't drink very often --for that reason -- but I always make sure if I'm going to that I have the points available to me.

The plan often needs personal tweaking to get the results we want.

While some people are able to use all their weeklies and activity points above and beyond their daily points, others are not able to. So it takes some experimenting and little adjustments to find the right level for you individually.

Alcohol definitely needs counting. It has a LOT of calories in it, and cannot be overlooked.

Oh god, if there is ONE thing that I always count, it is alcohol. Points just fly away so faaaast with a couple a drinks!! lol!

I use my weekly points. All of them. Every week. *L* It's my way of not depriving myself of things I really love, that I'm really not willing to give up.

At first I worried about slowing down my weight loss, or that I wouldn't lose at all, but...I mean, I've managed to lose 43 pounds even with using all my weeklies. I figure that if you couldn't use them, they wouldn't be given to us! *L* Of course everyone is different, but for me personally those 49 points are a godsend.

Years ago, when I was younger, I could use all my WP and I used them every week and I still lost. Now (I'm in my 50s) I can't lose if use all of them. I usually use between 15 and 25 of them and I average about .6 to .7 pounds lose a week.

But, really, you just have to try it to see what works for you.
