Joining WW on Wednesday

  • I have been on a diet for a while, but it has been very restrictive. I did really well on it for the first four months, but now I find that I cheat all the time and then it takes me a week to truly get back on once I start up again. So I decided that I need to do something different. I have decided to join our local WW on Wednesday. I think I am going to do the monthly pass so that I have all the tools that I need. Here is hoping this will work for me.

  • Welcome, trish. WW is definitely not restrictive, which is why it works for me. I know that on any given day I CAN have whatever I'm craving, I just have to work it into my daily or weekly points allowance. And knowing that I CAN have those things, makes it easier to resist them!
  • I joined WW on Friday and so far so good.. I did have some food Sat nite I probably shouldn't have had, but overall this seems like a pretty good way to lose weight. I am not hungry or thinking about food all the time.. Lots of things you can eat.. Kind of like not really being on a diet.

  • Welcome! Congratulations on sticking with your diet, and then making changes when you need them!

Let us know how it goes, and don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions
  • Gongratulations! Good luck!
  • Welcome! I hope your first meeting goes really well.
  • I've been on WW for a month now and it is not at all restrictive. You can eat a ton of food, it just helps you become more aware of what you're eating! It also aims you at daily dietary guidelines and activity. You can EARN more points by doing certain amounts of activity, on top of having a weekly allowance outside of your normal points, so if you have a wedding or a 4th of July party to attend, you can use some or all of the extra points!
  • Thanks all for the welcome! I am excited to go to my meeting tomorrow and get it going.
  • Welcome! I think WW is great because there really isn't any forbidden foods. And by following the good health guidelines, you really do train yourself to make better food choices. I truly believe this is something i could do for the rest of my life, as opposed to some other things I have tried before.
