Ww usually does update materials every other year and I can see them doing it early this time due to the huge program change. Like when points first came out then they quickly made program tweaks like the fiber cap. but in my experience ww usually rolls these things out in December so current members can learn them then they get the big influx of new members in January. Maybe they will announce to leaders in September then members later in the fall?

Sometimes they have the leaders and receptionists try out the program so they can make final tweaks and then announce it around December 1. In the olden days the changes were made in September because that is when WW anniversary is.

Haven't heard anything. Usually my experience is that the new program comes out in early December. I would guess people would start hearing mutterings about it a little before that. Given the big changes with PP I would assume there would be some tweaking. I am curious what it will be.

My leader said not to tell people in her other meetings, but I don't think that's applicable here (haha):

We were told that those of us with a 29 PP target can go down to 26. Actually, anyone who isn't happy with their rate of weight loss can reduce their target as long as it's by 3. She said WW has noticed that people with the 29 PP target are having the hardest time with the Points Plus switch. Which is well-documented online if you do a google search. She also mentioned that, according to WW, "petite, middle-aged women" have had the most issues. Well, I am petite, but NOT middle-aged, and have had an awful time with the new program. I have actually switched back to Momentum "illegally" (although I still go to meetings because it helps keep me accountable) but may go back to Points Plus if the 26 switch seems to work for people.

I think it's great that WW is acknowledging that people are struggling and is rolling out a change before the usual end-of-year program update. She also mentioned something else that was coming up in Sept. (besides the charity thingy) but didn't give any hints.

I know our location among others have been piloting those "activity tracker" gadgets that are supposedly going to be released widely eventually. I think other locations have tested them before too. I don't know if that would really warrant a big announcement though, even if it was coming out that soon.

Personally I'm not crazy about mine, but other people in my meeting love them.
