Down 2 lbs this morning at WI. The closer I get to goal, the slower my progress feels. But I'm just glad the progress is still happening. I received a nice framed certificate for hitting my 100 lb. lost goal a couple weeks ago. It's nice to see it hanging on the wall to remind me of what I've done and to keep me going every day. Off to the farmer's market to stock up on fruit and veggies. I think I can say I'm a regular there!

So I found a picture I had taken as a "Before" in 2008. Just for fun I found the same shirt and took pics today.

Its both sad and.... I don't know what else. I'm glad to be where I am tho. If I can figure out a way to post them I will, but I'm not sure what I'm allowed to link to :)

Just when I start seeing some loss FINALLY, Tom has to sneak up on me and fluke things up. I hate not having a regular cycle. :(

Loserjulie, don't you love that? I haven't been to the farmers market cuz they take cash-only and I'm a debit card girl.. but I have a local fruit- fruit stand that's in a brick & mortar building year round, and I think I'm a "regular" by now. I love that the owners get a big smile on their face when they see me walking up, and that I end every visit with "see ya next week". It makes this weight loss journey that much more pleasant. :)

Patchymama, why are you sad??

Well, we're coming up on the end of the month, and I'm feeling a bit down because I'm ending the month with about a 3 lb loss. I know it's not a straight 3 lbs. because I regained and relost poundage within a 6-lb range all month long... and I did lose 11.5 inches over the last month (which I'm really proud of).. but it still drives me bonkers because I lost 9 lbs in May, and 9 lbs in June. In looking over my tracker, the only difference I can see is a huge decrease in activity (8 days total compared to working out nearly the entire month last month) and I discovered a diet soda I really liked, and drank a serving or two of it nearly every day. I definitely think there might be a correlation with the reduced loss and the diet soda- I drank a LOT, it always left me with a bloated tummy feeling (the Splenda's fault?), and I pretty much stopped drinking water on a daily basis. Food-wise I feel I ate healthier- a lot more variety of fruits and veggies, and I stopped eating as many sausage (brats) and hot dogs as I did before. So I guess my August game plan is little-to-no soda, increase my water consumption, and ramp up the exercise. We'll see how it goes.

Sad simply because I let myself get to that point mostly. I look miserable even *laughs*

Good goals for august! Diet soda is something to avoid if you can... I imagine it messes with your insulin levels pretty horribly, which can lead to binging and what not :-/ I do like an occassional cherry coke, but I won't let myself even find a diet soda I like. IF I want it, I'll take the hit for it *laughs*

I just looked at mine and I'm only down about 4.5 for the month (I did lose that 1 from last week already) but that isn't nearly good enough for me. I've been bad at tracking .... even with all my working out. So that is my goal for august... and to try to hit two meals a day without carbs/dairy/sugar in preparation for my September challenge.

So (tracking) is my goal for august... and to try to hit two meals a day without carbs/dairy/sugar in preparation for my September challenge.

And that correlation makes sense to me.. I was really disappointed in myself with how much I gave up and binged- it was HORRIBLE. I got sick of telling myself "tomorrows another day", I mean it's true, but it's not a good enough excuse to over-eat, or eat crap.

Good goals! I know you'll get the tracking down, and be gentle with yourself on the days you don't. I know a few days ago I said I'm gonna go lower carb, but I think I'm just gonna focus on those other things first. I need to get back on track, before I start adding things to the mix.

Work in Progress

Hello ladies. I worked out Friday and yesterday, even though I wasn't necessarily on program. I have a "smidge" of motivation because I found a dress for the wedding next Friday but it is pretty form-fitting. I am so self conscious about my belly. It seems the weight I gained went there. So I'll have to find the right undergarments and the perfect shoes and I'll be ready to have a blast.

Today is Sunday and I plan on hitting the farmer's market. To stay on program for the next 5 days I must have groceries or I'll make bad decisions. I did take the advice on here to have berries for breakfast and it was yummy with my yogurt. Sometimes you forget how delicious healthy food can be. This week I'm going to focus on water, fruit and veggies. Try to keep the carbs down and hopefully that will at least help with any bloating.

And good ideas for lunch??? I can usually manage breakfast and dinner...but lunch always stumps me because I don't like cold cuts...unless it's proscuitto or mortadella. LOL!

Looking forward to hearing from everyone!

I had my 3rd WI yesterday and had my biggest LOSS since I joined WW!!! I'm down 1.8 this week!!!

My husband and I are leaving on Saturday to go with his family for a week in Destin, FL. I've already found a WW in Houston that we are stopping at on our way through so I can weigh in. I'm so close to "one-derland" I can't afford to not weigh in next week. :)
