Up 1 lb this week. Ate at a Mexican restaurant Sunday, and although I had a grilled shrimp salad, I couldn't resist the chips! Oh well.

Earned 4 activity points today by mowing the lawn. And realized that I might just have to kill my neighbor if he keeps allowing his dog to poop in my yard.

My mom (also doing WW) and I decided that starting next week we are going to get together and make a giant pot of low-point soup. That way we can have some thru out the week and it'll be something to do together. Gotta get a big Tupperware container so I can bring my half home safely. We live about 10 miles away, I'm in the city & she's in the burbs.

I'm in a recipe funk! Any good chicken recipes? I don't eat fish, so chicken tends to be the best lower point option. And my picky fiancé will actually eat it too!

Mmmm mexican food sounds awesome. I made the veggie soup this week. There was a sale on some freezer type containers with good lids, so i bought a bunch of them. I managed to make 8 portions and froze most of it. I did it in the slow cooker and it was awesome!! I have loads of veggies left over too, so i think i will put in another batch this week and freeze even more. Perfect for lunches or for work.

As for chicken... i am a creature of habit, but i just like it with honey dijon and then baked in the oven. Its pretty yummy.

Going to go back and read this thread when I get back from the gym but just wanted to "weigh in"
UP 2 (almost 3) pounds this week after a weekend of goodtimes and partying at my brothers in California. I did really well until the Second Day when he brought out a bottle of premixed pina coladas.... aye :)
But all in all, I got home, got back on track (even was on track COMING home with the 7 hour drive and fast food) so I am just going to keep on keepin on :) will write more later :)

*waves to everyone* I hope everyone is having a good week.

I tweaked my back at body pump on saturday and have been nursing it, as well as not nursing it ever since. I gave myself sunday and monday off at the gym but when Tuesday and did both Body Pump and spin and found myself sore again. I'm not as sore today but it is still there a bit so I think I'm skipping weights today and just doing some elliptical/treadmill cardio tonight.

I can't afford to not go to the gym or I get moody and eat crap. I may try out the pool too.

I woke up sick today. Bloated with stomach cramps. But I managed to pull out a pound this week anyway. Today was the end of my first 10 week session and I hit 16 pounds lost. We have to get a certain number of people in the group for it to continue, so I'm hoping we can keep it going!

Congrats to those who lost this week :) Chin up! To those who didn't :) I can totally relate with having an argument with the scale, I only "count" my weigh in once a week but I can't help but get on pretty much everyday sometimes more than once.. and yesterday I about had a heartattack! It was saying I had gaine 8 lbs... must have had some serious water retention or something cause today on normal weigh in day and time, I had only gained 2.. whew!
I knew I had slipped for sure over the weekend, but I was able to get right back on track right away. I am hoping that next weeks weigh in shows some progress and shows that my little 2 day party didn't effect me that greatly long term. Shoot, if it puts me a little behind, it was still worth it :) It's not like I have a dealine to meet :) I am just thrilled with the fact that I actually got right back on track, didn't get mad at myself for going off plan for a couple of days, and have continued to just keep going even with the crazy # on the scale yesterday.
These things are things that would have thrown me off my game in the past (after losing, then moving and gaining, and trying to lose it again), so I am happy to see that I am actually really commited again this time :)
The few times I have tried to get back on track since moving here, I haven't lasted more than a week tops... I have now completed week 7! :)
It will be interesting to see how I fit work into this whole thing: I work as a teachers aide at a school, start in 2 weeks...
When I originally lost weight I was a SAHM, so haven't ever had to work it into a work schedule. It will be interesting and challenging I am sure :)
I know i can do it though, so it's all good.
I am tired for punishing myself for mistakes, so I am just not going to anymore, I am going to sigh and move on :)
Great philosophy and it's been working, lets see how long I can keep it up : ) After all, I came here to 3FC on a day when it WASN'T working!.. Glad I came though :)

Trying to get a grip

Hello everyone. I haven't been on this site in almost 10 years. BUT...it helped me get to goal the last time and I'm reaching back out in hopes for success.

I have 2 kiddies and right now have realized that since I haven't been to meetings, I've creeped up 8 lbs in 8 months. I had less than 10 lbs to go to get to goal...and now I'm looking at 18 lbs to get it together.

I'm just stumped on the points plus plan. I need to know what to eat breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks to stay within my points. Any suggestions?

Thanks so much

Cubalibre

PS - I have a wedding in 1 week and would LOVE a great weigh in...

Cuba, there are so many options for what to eat. I'm not sure what your points allowance is each day. Mine is 29, the lowest you can have. So it can be difficult to find things to stay within that range. Especially for a picky eater like me. You'll quickly fgure out where you are willing to scrimp and where you would prefer to use ur points.

I'm not a big breakfast person. When I'm at work, I have a bowl of fresh berries (whatever's on sale that week) and I dump out a WW yogurt on top. Simple breakfast for on the go and only 2 points. Pair that with an iced latte (2) or an iced coffee (1) and I am good til lunch. Somedays I have a banana too if I'm still kinda hungry.

My SIL is borrowing my blue book.. can someone tell me how many activity points there are for 30 minutes light, and 10 minutes moderate. I'm 185 lbs so which weight level should I use now?

NSV- I was dragging *ss in math class tonight (did not get good sleep last night), so when he let us out for a 15-minute break, I did 10 minutes of climbing up and down the 2 flights of stairs next to the classroom. Classmates were looking at me funny cuz I was huffin' and puffin' away. Oh well! Got my activity in for the day (did 30 minutes of yoga this morning), and I was more alert and able to focus better, too. :D

kariatari 07-29-2011 10:57 AM

10 mins high = 1
30 mins low = 2

That's according to my lil tracker though, which currently has me at 166. I don't know whether those values would change for your weight

singing 07-29-2011 11:20 AM

girlsenberry
30mns light at 180 -2pts. At 190- 3pts
10 mns high at 180- 2pts, Same for 190.
Personally,I would pick the higher AP.Nice choice on the stairs climbing.

mercuryblue 07-29-2011 02:03 PM

Down 1.5 this week. Happy about that!! Getting even closer to 199! wooooohoooo!

girlsenberry 07-29-2011 04:04 PM

Thanks, ladies, for the AP values. :)

Why is it that i feel guilty going to the movie theater with my backpack filled with with healthy snacks! Why on earth do they not offer healthy stuff there. Anyone else feel like that?

catahoula 07-30-2011 02:20 AM

Merc don't ya dare feel guilty. They should be the ones feeling ashamed of themselves for charring someone $10 for popcorn and a coke!
