Default Middle Eastern Food!

Hi Everyone!

Today my dad is taking me out to lunch to a place called The Tazaa Grill. They serve Middle Eastern food which I've never had before. I'm not sure how to count my points or what selections they even have on their menu! Any suggestions?!

Usually you can get a chicken kabob which is really good and not that high points. Hummus is great (but watch how much you eat). I like tabouli as a salad.

Middle Eastern food is my favorite and pretty healthy! most middle eastern places i go to offer a plate with chicken kabob, hummus, saffron rice and greek salad...just ask for more salad in place of rice.

This is the standard chicken kabob plate at most middle eastern places:

Again, just dont eat the rice...ask for more salad or more hummus. Its so yummy!

Thanks so much!! I ended up ordering the chicken shwarma which came with garlic paste, hummus, rice, pita bread, and a salad. I am totally hooked, everything was absolutely delicious!

I love middle eastern food and it is easily one of the healthiest cuisines to try when you are eating out. When I go to my local Lebanese restaurant, I tend to stick with the Chicken shwarma, hummus, tabouli, and veggie dolmades. They also have this amazing chopped salad that is a mixture of tomatoes, red onions, and cucumbers in a garlicky vinaigrette.

That's Israeli Salad, I make it all the time and even got my mom hooked on it. Ours is an Americanized version but the Middle Eastern restaurant I go to chopped everything up so fine, it's amazing. I've read that that's the authentic way to do it, the more finely chopped the better. It's great to add to a sandwich wrap or just as your side veggie for a meal.
