Default Tough few weeks for me.

Hello Everyone
I know I have been very scarce around here lately but work and life has been crazy. I am so upset with myself, the last 3 weeks have been awful with weight loss. I have gained 2 weeks in a row! I know it is because I haven't been counting like I should be and I have gone out many times for dinner/ drinks. I still have been walking everyday and I eat right during the day but at night I binge and eat anything and everything. I thought I was finally out of this stage but I guess not.
This weekend is going to be tough again, Our friends came up from Baltimore and we are going out tonight, Saturday and Sunday for food/ beverages. I feel like I am stuck and cant figure a way out! I have done so good and to let food run my life is aggravating! I have so much more to loose....
Sorry about my vent, I needed to let it out somewhere!

this kind of thing happens, don't sweat it too much. Losing weight is hard and it's this kind of stuff that makes it hard. I know it's upsetting because you worked so hard but you have lost before and you'll lose again. Hold on to that feeling of disappointment in order to motivate yourself.

As for tonight and tomorrow, view it as a challenge and practice moderation. You cannot say that you will never have parties or celebrate with friends ever again, even when you're super thin. But you need to be able to control what you put in your mouth so use this chance to develop long term habits. I don't believe in skinny people, only people who moderate.

When you go out tonight, have a salad. I know it's boring and stucky and doesn't even come close to ordering ribs. Or just order a starter to come out with the main course, with a side salad or vegetables and limit what you eat today.

As for beverages. Allow yourself two drinks: Vodka and diet soda. For the rest of the evening drink either green tea or lemon water. You can still have fun without getting drunk but explain to your friends are watching what you're eating for health reasons.

Last night we went out for drinks and I drank water the whole night, was very proud of myself. But tonight I am planning on getting a salad and having a couple drinks, I just hope I can keep my snacking under control. The food there is fabulous!
