Default So now I have to buy all new stuff????

I joined WW last January and because of medical issues haven't been able to use my tools (calculator, etc.) since June. Now they have the new program.

Will my calculator NOT work with this new program??? Do I have to buy all new stuff???

I just bought the calculator, which I have never used and I use etools.

But yes, the entire program has changed and you'll need the new Getting Started guide and Pocket Guide (free) and if you don't use etools you'll need a calculator and Food Companion Books.

No, your old calculator will not work with the new program. If you re-join WW you'll have to get the materials for the new Points Plus program. But you could use all your materials and follow the old program on your own.

I bought my calculator for the "discounted" price of $5. I guess they're normally $11. I believe everyone can get one at the cheaper price.

Marie, as well as the above info, keep in mind that all old cookbooks, etc are also based on the old points system. Plus frozen foods etc that are on the market may not be updated. The new system is Points Plus, so make sure that when you read point values, it says Points Plus or PPV. There are no sliders that will work the new formula, so you will need the calculator or e-tools, unless everything you want to eat is in the food companion. Those are $5.

Some people at my meeting still follow the old system, but whatever you do, don't mix the two at all or you won't lose.

I joined 2 weeks ago. They were out of the calculators then and still are. They told us last night that WW is sold out of calculators nation-wide. Just wondering if anyone else has been told this.

The only thing that I bought (in addition to my monthly pass) is the calculator. I wanted the new member kit when I first joined but they were out of them. I rarely use the calculator and rely on etools the most.
I think if you have etools access you may not even need the calculator.

My roommate bought a calculator last week, on Wednesday. There were a fair number left at that point. Apparently random towns in the Central Valley of California aren't considered to be "nation-wide". I have a meeting tonight, so I could check if we still have any....

Oh, yes. I should have offered this too. My meeting location has stacks and stacks of calculators (at least they did on Monday). If anyone wants me to pick one up for them I'd be happy to ship it out to you and have you paypal me the money or whatever.

The food scale doesn't work at all any more. The new formula is based on carbs, protein, fat and fiber. Too many variables for a slider, so you have to have the calculator or use e-tools.

I just downloaded the WW app on my iPhone, but I don't know if it has a calculator in it or not.

In the meeting yesterday, our leader mentioned there would be a free calculator on the website even if you are not signed up for etools. I didn't pay much attention because I am an etools member, but check on the site.

If you couldn't get a calculator, you can use www. weightwatchers/calculator free until a new supply comes in.
