Default Gimme Food!

Hi All..

Okay, I started back up with WW. I joined WW Online today & for a few days prior was doing it on my own. I'm finding that tonight... I'm starving. Its 11:30 and I hate to cave in at this time of night. I'm not sure if its hunger or boredom. I'm a night time eater - I crave carbs in the PM. I had a late supper and I had some fruit a couple of hours ago. I just feel unsatisfied. Any ideas? I'm using the Simply Filling Technique.

Get some sleep!

There are biological reasons you crave carbs at night and lack of sleep exacerbates the problem.

this article explains it pretty well: The Dream Diet: Losing Weight While You Sleep

I have my biggest losses when I go to bed earlier. At first I thought that was because if I'm sleeping, I'm not eating so my calorie intake is lower but I looked back over a couple of weeks of food records and even with food intake the same more sleep got me bigger losses.

The first few months were really rough for me because not only was I a binge eater but I was also a night eater. I craved carbs specifically so I found a way to curb that and control my night time eating. Every night I eat an entire bag of popcorn paired with a Diet Pepsi, it really does the trick and fills me up so I'm not overeating before it's time for bed!
