Hi All,
I haven't been keeping up with chatting; have had some stress in my life and have been busy with the children, vacations, summer things, etc. But I continue to lose very slowly: 0.5--1.0 pound/week. I'll take it, especially with some of the treats I have been having. I'm trying to keep very close tabs on my supper/evening. I can keep vigilant track of my food throughout the day until I get to supper. Then, with a bite here and a bite there, trying to make dinner, get kids focused, clean up, baths, bedtimes, a bit of time for my husband....I lose track and stop tracking. I think that I am overeating my points each day during this time. Does anyone have any suggestions of what has worked for you on an issue like this? Wishing you all a week filled with great choices....little changes add up! R :) |
Hi ladies! Yesterday was a weird day for me...I just wasn't hungry at all! I kept trying to force myself today, but I still finished the day with 8 points left over...and I only have 23 in a day! I felt like crap in bed and had to get up and drink some Gatorade to help feel less....drained. I guess all that TOM eating last week confused my body this week? I don't know...it was very weird.
Anywho...the scale was nice to me this morning! 168.4...which is down FINALLY, I was hovering at 170 for a week! |
Welcome to the new faces here and I would like to offer some encouragement to all of you (us) who struggled this week. Weigh in is today for me and I feel like crawling under a rock. After two amazing weeks, 9.8 one week and then 2 pounds down the next week for some reason I completely let myself go off track this week. I have been up and down on my home scale so I have no idea what to expect tonight at weigh in...so I'm preparing for a gain because I don't see how I could have lost with the week I had. Oh well...there's always next week...and next week starts today!

I am down a little over three pounds after two weeks. I am excited about this.
Yesterday was rough and I feel like today is going to be as well.. This is my first TOM since my new lifestyle and I just want to eat everything. I know I can't but it's so hard not to. Ugh.. |
i may not even weigh in tomorrow lol why torture myself i say! i've been miserable not being able to do the things i want with my sprained ankle so i haven't been counting and i'm pretty sure i've gone way over! i've been counting today so far so good so i'll try to keep it going lol. i need to exercise more so i can eat more, but right now i can't and it's frustrating!

There are exercises you can do while sitting and still get a decent workout. Do a search for chair aerobics, get some exercise bands and get going.
When you think you've gained is when you really need to go the the meeting and weigh in. Sticking your head in the sand only leads to more weight gain. Eating protein with every meal and snack will keep you feeling full. Fill up on filling foods. If vegetables aren't appealing, you are not eating from hunger. You can do this. I weighed more than you when I started and I did it. Take a positive attitude and everything will be okay. |
Susan- arg! ok lol i'm going to try my walk at home dvd a mile in the morning and another one after work as long as it doesn't hurt. filling foods don't make me feel full so i can eat and eat i don't know my bodys signals when its had enough lol im going to incorporate my protein shakes again in the morning i remember it helps just a pain to make every day. 2 scoops protein powder, 1 apple, 2 cups spinach and a little water and blend and its really good

Haley I'm going to have to agree with Susan on this one. I have done the whole, "Not weighing in because I know I gained" thing and one week just led to the next and next thing I knew I had been over a month between weigh ins. When I hit the restart button a few weeks ago I decided that NO MATTER WHAT I have to weigh in every week to keep myself accountable.
Now for those that follow the posts here, yesterday I said I was scared to weigh in and I felt like crawling under a rock and hiding...well good thing I didn't because SOMEHOW (in spite of 3 days of eating out and going WELL over my points and going negative in weekly points) I still lost 1.6 at weigh in last night!!!!! I was so excited I almost peed!! I just don't know how it happened! Oh and on another happy note, Old Chicago FINALLY put their nutritional information online and it turns out what I have been eating that I thought was so horrible, was only 28 points, and since I can only eat half of it at a time it's only 14 points. Which is perfectly doable at my level (I get 32 points) if I just save up for a big (and DELICIOUS) dinner. I love when I find out that my splurges aren't actually as bad as I thought!!!! YAY!!! |
melbel- congrats on your weigh in!
I actually planned on weighing in this morning but i could not get out of bed until the last second, i was late for work lol oh well. i only have a week and a day left here (then i go back to school) so it's really hard to get up in the morning to come here. last night i mapped out what i'd eat today, it will put me a point over but i'll try some exercise later. They brought in donuts today ugh but i resisted! |
I'm in. Have been languishing too long in the not losing phase. Time to jump start things again.

So far I've been right OP all week, been to the Y for at least 1 hour a day and getting in my 9 HGs. Hopefully the scale will show this on Saturday. I'm really enjoying the Y and have a lot more energy.
Melbellrocks, :carrot: on the weight loss! You're doing great! |
