Bloomer-Thanks!

Thanks guys for all the support. I was very pleased. My meeting leader was kinda speechless but I told her, "Hey, it's not magic...you stay on plan and good stuff happens!" :D

Aclai4067 07-29-2010 06:16 PM

Congrats to those of you who've seen losses already. I've done pretty well this week with the exception of tuesday evening, but it didn't have any adverse effects on the scale (I weigh daily). I'm a little torn on tonight, as I'm going over to a friend's house for drinks. I wish I liked wine, I'd do a spritzer type of deal to save points... but I hate wine. Maybe I'll get stuff to make mojitos. It's expensive and complicated, but the time it takes to make them slows me down some

Good morning, ladies! We had a big storm last night that has cold things off so I've been out for a 1-mile walk this morning and will do another after dinner. Tomorrow is weigh in. I expect a small loss because I am close to goal and have hypothyrodism so lose slowly.

I'll be planning my meals and exercise for next week today so I can go grocery shopping after my WW meeting tomorrow.

Haley8203 07-30-2010 12:10 PM

Susan- good for you on planning. I have hypothyroidism too and last year I had to get my left side removed. They keep upping my dose but I don't notice any differences.

I definetely need to exercise today because I've already used 20 of my flex points yesterday and I have 16 points for the rest of the day, although I did just eat lunch so maybe I'll be ok. I already know I'm going to have this 5 point frozen lightlife thing I had a coupon for, it looks like there's a lot in it so should be filling.

Hi All,

I have been going through some of the same things as you all...."forgetting" to log points because I am going over, all-or-nothing thinking, hitting the reset button a few times, letting weekends/vacations/weddings/random Tuesdays trick me into thinking that staying on the plan is not necessary....but I have been going to WW meetings every week or two weeks all summer. Each week I am re-motivated, so I am hoping that things will start to stick and I will really see some success. I have been losing the same 5 pounds all summer so far! I joined WW in late May, so I was hoping to have more to show for it by now! :)

A bit about me: I struggled with eating issues (both under- and overeating) for most of my life. I put on close to 75 pounds with my first pregnancy, but managed to shave that off over a two year period. With my second pregnancy, I was healthy and fit, gained 35 pounds, and lost that and about 10 more in the year after. Things were great, I was healthy and fit, but during my last year of my Master's progam, I put 50 pounds back on and here I am, back at a weight that I thought was gone for good. :( I am trying to get back into it, but it has been very depressing to have taken all of the weight off before, multiple times, and be back here again. I am hoping that I can get into it and SEE SOME SUCCESS!

Best wishes to you all,
R :)

RunningToSmile- Hi! i hear what you're saying. When i was 19 i lost 80lbs then i got pregnant and gained 110 then lost 80 and now gained 75 back after being in school....

Hi Everyone, I'm into my fourth week of rejoining WW. I am down 6lbs in 3 weeks. My norm is 1 lb a week. I've finally learned that even 1 lb is great!! I weigh in on Mondays, I'll let you know my loss.

RunningToSmile 07-31-2010 11:01 AM

Hooray! Let's try to keep each other motivated....I'm happy to find a little WW group that can help me stay on track, and hopefully I can give some encouragement, too!!

R :)

@RunningToSmile: I personally think that you are amazing for being able to smile and have a positive attitude. I know that yo-yo-ing is very hard and it's so depressing to know that you are RE-doing what you already did before. You are spectacular for hanging in there and you are truly an inspiration to me!!!! :bravo:

Good afternoon, ladies! I had my WW meeting this morning and am down .8 - I hardly ever lose more than 1 pound so I am happy.

No matter how long it takes, I will get back to goal this time. I will attend my weekly meetings, even if I have been off program because if I give up going, I am positive I will have even more to lose. I'll be going for my walk after dinner. This cooler weather is wonderful!

melbellrocks 07-31-2010 02:51 PM

@QuilterInVA: Grats! I have learned to take any loss I can get, even if it's not a full pound it's still a loss! And more importantly, it's not a gain!!!

QuilterInVA 08-02-2010 11:52 AM

Happy Monday, ladies! I hope everyone came through the weekend unscathed.

I'm going to the Y today and sign up. My friend already goes there and we can go together and encourage each other. Other than the usual exercise with the machines, I want to take classes in Yoga and Water Aerobics.

Drink your water, get in your HGs and write down every BLT today. Have a great day.

Hickory0305 08-02-2010 12:40 PM

Hi everyone!

Hope it's ok that I jump in! This is my 2nd time on WW. I joined about 2 years ago and quit VERY early on.

This is my 5th week and I'm hoping to get below 170 by my next weigh-in (Sunday). It hasn't been too bad this time. I'm definitely racking up the activity points, so that's good.

The hardest thing for me is weekends. When my husband's home and we go out to do things, I'm SO much weaker. And it always seems like there's something going on. This Saturday, we have a wedding t go to that's 3 hours away. I plan to bring snacks for the car and just save up weekly points for the wedding meal itself. Hopefully I can resist the cake if I pack a Vitamuffin! lol

Haley8203 08-02-2010 12:46 PM

Susan- i know how you feel about going with someone, i try to get my friends to come with me between classes to the exercise classes in my school gym and my online friend and i have decided to exercise "together" doing gilad in the morning on fit tv she lives in NC and i live in VT but we're both doing it at the same time lol.

hickory0305- i love vita muffins. what is the 0305 for? March 5th? that's my bday so it caught my attention lol
