Default Help!! Ww Again!!

I swear, I've tried all types of diets and here recently have been considering lapband. My husband doesn't want me to go into surgery. I've done WW in the past and lost 30 pounds the first time I did it. That was in college, 2003. Since then, I've gotten married and have had 4 children between 2005 and now. I've done WW off and on throughout, but haven't been able to stick to it. I've done Atkins (YUCK) I like carbs, colonix, herbalife, etc. Weight Watchers is the ONLY thing that works and isn't restrictive. I hate being hungry. In the midst of the kids, my weight has gone up and down!! I know WW works, but can't get my head in the game. Anyone else have disciplinary problems... Any advice?

I know where you're coming from. I was on WW for 8 months and had some success but due to stress and other factors I gained 1/4 of my weight back. I made the decision to start WW again tomorrow. Just stay positive and know that this DOES WORK and you will make your goal! Do you go to the meetings or do you post? Having some type of support does make a big difference. I tend to call a friend if I'm not in the mood to workout or if I'm craving pizza- my friend tends to talk me out of it. Good luck!

I am on it again. Last year I lost 40 lbs, but 10 has crept back on so I am on it again. I've been on it for 5 weeks and have lost only 3.2 lbs. It is so frustrating and the only way I can handle it is thinking that this is a forever thing. I like that I can eat whatever I want sometimes and even though the losses really small, at least they are losses.

I also lost weight with WW two times now. I recently gained 20 back and since starting again I noticed that it's really rough this time. REALLY ROUGH.

Sammi8630, I used to go to meetings. I'm actually afraid to rejoin for fear that I won't make it through and that's more money wasted. But the meetings are awesome! I'm a walking contradiction...I just found this post and I really like it. I have all the WW stuff, so I'm going to try this route.
Rileyozzy, thanks for that. Ur right, a loss is a loss. I used to get REALLY upset if I only saw a few ounces gone, but a loss is a loss. I'm going to remember that. :-)

Like all of you I have done WW many times with success but always found an excuse to stop doing it, didn't like counting points, found it frustrating to have to weight and measure everything, etc, BUT this program WORKS if you follow it! I have done lots of other diets but WW IMHO is the best program out there. You have the freedom to eat whatever you want in moderation and still lose weight if you count your points. One of the best tips a leader gave is to eat your daily points only and save your extra points for weekends or holidays when you need them. It works! It helps to rev up your metabolism instead of getting the same number of calories on a regular basis. Find ways to save points by making substituions also. I love going to Subway at lunch but found that buying "lite" bread and my own deli turkey along with lots of lettuce and tomato I was able to shave off a couple of points and still feel satisfied. Plus I can't eat a sandwich without chips and found that I love the baked ones for only 2 pts per serving. I also save a couple of points every day for a treat, I can't live without a low fat ice cream or other small treat.

I hope this helps in some small way. Good luck, YOU CAN DO IT!
