Nutrisystem & WW

  • Hi Everyone!

I hope I am putting this in the right section! I have a question regarding Nutrisystem and WW.

I love WW. I first started it a few years ago because I could not lose my last 15 pounds after #4 was born. I lost if quickly and I have kept it off! So I know all about WW and how to cook my own foods and figure up points and all that good stuff! Last Jan. 2009 I lost a few more pounds, but the last 6 months or so I have not been good and have gained some of it back thanks to the holidays!

So my question is could I do NS and WW at the same time? When I do WW and I cook my own meals I eat the same thing everyday. Normally chicken or fish, however, I am sure hubby and the kids do not want to eat this everyday and with having 4 kids PLUS me going to school I do not have the energy or time to cook two meals a day. I normally eat the WW dinners and like those, but when I pulled up the NS website and started calculating points on their dinners, they were the same points as WW. Also, I NEED SWEETS! LOL!! Their sweets were low in points as well. I would not be eating NS foods everyday. I just want to add more variety for dinners and snacks. I have found that with me being in school and having to study at night when the kids go to bed, I want to eat. So I really have to be on a point based plan or else I would eat all night!
  • I don't see why you couldn't buy nutrisystems or any other diet food and use it in a WW program using the WW points calculator.
  • Instead of spending the money on Nutrisystem AND WW, try the Lean Cuisine website, which has a meal planner that allows you to plug in how many calories you're looking for and then use their dinners. Might save you some $$$. Good luck!
  • Why do you eat the same thing everyday? WW is about learning to eat all foods, not a limited menu you can't stick to for the rest of your life. Why not look through some of the recipes and find something that looks family friendly and try that. Remember, either way, you need the 9 HGs every day.
