Default Best ON Program spaghetti..

Hi all, I'm so in need/want of spaghetti...and or something with a Taco thing going. I've searched all my WW cookbooks, and the websites, and not finding anything that anyone "that's ON the program" can suggest. If you know of any recipes,I kindly ask for your feedback. Be good to yourself, and take care.

Okay, I'm not on weight watchers, but I'd suggest making a big batch of veggie filled sauce (with meat or without depending on how many points you want to use). Then, toss a big pile of the low-point sauce over a small amount of pasta. I find when it's pasta that I want, it doesn't have to be a huge amount of pasta, just some.

Two words: spaghetti squash

This stuff is points friendly (One cup cooked = 0 points.), healthful, and so good!!

To cook one, line a cookie sheet with foil, cut the squash in 1/2, lay each piece cut side down, and pierce the skin a few times with a fork. Bake in a 375 oven for 40-55 minutes, depending on the size of the squash. Turn the squash right side up, and run a fork over the flesh, and the spaghetti-like strands will loosen very nicely. Top with your favorite sauce and enjoy.

I'm thinking wwpasta, with only tomato and mushroom sauce..think it will do me. I'll let everyone know if it's a winner.

you can a;sp put the spaghetti squash in the microwave. i cut the squash in half and add water to a microwave safe bowl. add water to the bottom of the bowl so the squash floats. i usually cook just one half at 12-14 minutes and then save the other half for later. you remove the strands like above with a fork...

really really tasty!

Hon, if you PM me, I can send you a couple of WW recipes --one for spaghetti and the best meatballs EVER, one for greek "spaghetti" (pastitsio), and one for TexMex Haystacks (kind of a chicken chili with rice and baked tostitos)...
I have the WW recipe books handy and will give the references, too.

I tried pming you but your preferences are set to "accept no pms"!

Anyone else can pm too for these recipes

Kira

not sure about recipes but a killer combo for me is SMART pasta (purple box) and marinara sauce... very low points for a very "normal" meal

This is what I do for my Pasta Fix..
I cook up an entire box of Catelli Smart Spagetti. I measure the cooked spagetti out into 1 cup portions and them freeze them for later use in the freezer. I just pop them in the microwave when I need them. Theses portions are 4 points each..
To make an awesome fettucini type pasta dish I saute Mushrooms, Garlic, onions, spinach and salt and pepper with a little pam. Then I shut off the burner on the stove and add 2 triangles of Laughing Cow Light cheese (1pt) To the pan to melt.. Then I add a cup of pasta and mix it all up really good.. It is awesome.. I eat it with a salad, or sometimes I will add a chicken breast.. Or top it with fresh parmesan It has a lot of veggies and Is really really good...

Try it.. I am definately going to try some spagetti squash too...
