Lori: Sounds like you had a fun time at the shower. It's hard to believe you're in the last part of your pregnancy. How are you feeling? Has the cough finally gone away? I still have mine--it's been hanging on over 2 months now.

I had a busy weekend--Saturday I did my grocery shopping and then we had a bowling get together with the rugby club. Sunday I tackled the upstairs bathroom and scrubbed everything down and did laundry. My DS #1 and his wife came over for dinner and it was nice.

It's freezing here today--it was 10 when I came in this morning and the temp is barely moving (15) and tonight is supposed to be in the single digits. I'm SO ready for spring!

It's quiet here on campus--all the students are on break and some of the offices are closed as well. I can't wait to get out of here tonight and hopefully sleep tonight!

Hello. Had a good weekend. After tax prep was done, : ( , went golfing with DH and that was fun. On Saturday, didn't do too much and on Sunday I had a chorus rehearsal. Then our weather really changed. We had 40 this morning and it's supposed to get worse tonight. Nothing like yours, Melissa.

Lori, Your shower sounds like so much fun. How great that the menfolk participated. Speaking of baby showers, I went out last night and purchased aa gift for my friend's daughter. I bought some kind of car seat bottom or something. Sorry, don't know much about baby stuff.

Melissa, I cannot believe your weather--c'mon Spring! How are your DS and wife doing?

Hello to Pam, and Run.

Lisa, our weather is downright frigid! This morning it was 10 degrees when I came into work and we've only gone up 2 degrees since then! I think we're supposed to hit 20 today but I'm seriously wondering if it will happen. Thurs-Sun the weather looks promising with temps in the upper 40's and low 50's. I'm more than ready for Spring! My DS and his wife are doing well--he's busy now that the new wellness facility that he's working at is open to all members. For a while he was working part-time waiting for everything to be done. It was nice having them over. We made plans to get together the weekend of the 13th.

I've gotten all my correspondence updated that neede to be done which feels good. I need to purge some files and may tackle that tomorrow.

Tonight DH and I are going to a basketball game--our team is in the playoffs and it should be a good game. The only downside is that the students are off on break so there won't be a lot of students there but the general public attendance should be good since there are a lot of Gannon followers.

Good afternoon!

The game was great last night--we won and will be hosting playoffs this weekend. It'll be exciting because we haven't been in this position since the early 90's.

Went to my meeting was down a little (.4) and that's okay. I did track all week and am working on it again this week. It's so easy to not do it! So far I've done well with steering clear of those darn tortilla chips. It's a battle that's for sure!

The weather is looking up--today it's in the high 20's and the weekend is supposed to be in the low 50's...I'll take it!

How's everyone else doing???

Melissa, I'm glad your team won. That has to be exciting after so many years. Congrats on the loss--I'd take it. You're doing well for not eating the tortilla chips; I bought some of those blue ones and had a few.

I'm headed to my professional group meeting tonight at an Italian restaurant; it's so hard to make good choices. I like Italian food and want to eat it all.

I'm the President of my group this year and I cannot believe how fast the year has gone (began last July). I only have a couple meetings left to chair. We have a big educational event tomorrow and it is usually a money-maker, but this year because of the economy, we won't make as much.

Good morning ladies! I found out this morning that my OB is on medical leave for 6 weeks. I'm nervous because the last appointment I had, I saw a different doctor and I didn't like her much. She rushed me and her answer to a lot of my questions was that I should ask my regular doctor next time I see her. Well now I won't see her until I am 38 weeks (if she is recovered from whatever is wrong, which I hope is nothing major for her!). So they rescheduled my appointment today to the same doc I saw last time. If she still rushes me, then I will re-schedule my upcoming appointments with a different doctor and not her. I'm still worried though

Other than that, I'm doing OK. Starting to get to the uncomfortable phase. I can't believe I will be 32 weeks tomorrow! DH is going to finish up the drywall tomorrow in the nursery and mud. Saturday I think he is going to sand. Hopefully we will get to painting during the week next week, and I can hire someone to install the floor really soon.

Melissa - The cough has gone away, but I do have some congestion in my chest still. I am SO not looking forward to tracking again after I am done breastfeeding. I think I've kind of let myself go at this point, so I know it is going to be hard to get back into it.

Lisa - It sounds like you bought a car seat base. Infant carriers fir into a base, that is secured in the car. If you buy more than 1 base, and put them in different cars, then it makes it REALLY easy to switch between cars because you don't have to take the 1 base you have out of 1 car and put it in another. We have 2 bases for out infant carrier, one for my car and one for DH's.

Lisa: I was tempted last night to buy some and got out of the aisle pretty quick so I wouldn't be tempted. I bought some baked kettle chips but they aren't something I'll overeat on so I guess that's a good thing!

Lori: Glad to hear your cough is gone (mine is still lingering and I'm beginning to think it's part of this thyroid thing)--I hope the chest congestion goes away soon for you. When I was pregnant with DS #2 the practice I was with had 4-5 different doctors and they wanted you to see each one in case you had one of them when you went into labor; I prayed hard that I would get MY doctor (who I was with when she was in a practice on her own) when I went into labor and as luck would have it she was on call. Like you, I didn't like some of the doctors because they "rushed" me through my appointment and another was kind of "prickly". You'll get back into the routine once things quiet down after you have the baby. Gosh, it'll be here before you know it! The last part is the worst because everyone asks "you still here?"....aaaaahhhhhh! The good part is the weather will be nice and you'll be able to get outside!

It's gorgeous here today--48 degrees and sunshine so I'm getting my sneakers on and heading out for a walk over the lunch hour. I need to get out and move. The afternoon is going to be long because my boss decided to take the afternoon off and I'm pretty much caught up.

Sorry I didn't post yesterday--I was at an offsite training seminar which was very good. There was a motivational speaker at lunch and he was both funny and inspirational. I ate too much yesterday, too, but today is a new day.

Lori, It's so hard to believe that you're that far along. That is terrible to put you with another doctor and one you don't "click" with. I hope your other doctor comes back soon.

Melissa, Ah, sounds like nice spring weather. I hope you get a walk in. I'm playing golf tomorrow with a GF, then I have a birthday party, and then a rehearsal.

Don't forget to turn your clocks ahead Saturday night!

It's a balmy 61 here this afternoon...it's great! I did get out for a nice long walk yesterday at noon and this morning I feel muscles that I haven't felt in a long time! It's a good feeling though. I did a short, little walk today nothing major. Tomorrow is still supposed to be "warm" and we're planning a road trip to see my cousin in the Buffalo area. She has pierogies for me and I ordered some sourdough rye from a bakery that I love in the area.

It's going to be a somewhat busy weekend and I really should tackle some things in the house but it'll be there later.

Lisa: Sounds like you have an equally busy weekend.

Hi to Pam & Run4Change! Hope all is going well with you!
