Default Ok, Where Is Everybody In The Countdown 250 Thread?

I have been waiting and watching for somebody to post and nobody is showing up.
Do you no longer need support?
Have you all suddenly gotten below 250 lb?
I'd sure like to know.

Hiya, Linda!

We left town on the 20th (in the evening) and only just returned after midnight last night. (Here's where we've been: http://www.allretrogames.com/blogger.shtml and why I've been absent.)

I think the strange thing about online support groups is that folks vary in how comfy they are and it changes from minute to minute. This past month or six weeks I've felt like i'm failing in a big, big way (though the weight on the scale doesn't show a relapse so much as a yo-yo-ing of the same darn five pounds) which always makes me withdraw (I have to be drawn out - which, somehow, seeing a post by you always does) so I post less often, come by less often, and then (gasp!) spiral further into a "woe is me, I'm failing" paradigm.

Sigh. Plus, I hate to show up and just be a downer.

Finally, and this is stupid and I know it in advance, I just plain can't keep up with the threads when I have to reply to each post that came before mine. Yeah, I know its not required but I also know that folks feel slighted when someone doesn't do this (or that's the impression I got some months ago) so when I don't have the psychic energy to remember it all and reply to it all, I just don't post.

Some insight from the peanut gallery -- and its probably not all the insightful.

I'm not where I want to be. I'm withdrawing from the things that help me get there. And I hope this week will be different.

Default Hey bunny, don't give up yet!

I am trying to stick to this thread, only as I feel over whelmed in trying to respond to all too. Some nites I am bored and check into tons of threads, then write once in a while, but forget where I go, etc.... SO, since I am now on WW I will try to do this thread, and other WW threads, as well, once I find the time.

I did my 30 min walk this morning, after feeding the horses. IT was so gorgeous out especially after all the rain we had yesterday. I went riding yesterday, even with the rain. IT was pouring when I left, (min. after anyway) but we stuck it out in the truck, til the rain subsided. My girlfriend and her daughter came along, too. It was great fun, and the weather cooperated for the afternoon. WE rode for a couple of hours on a trail system designed for cross country skiing, and the good thing about it is, it is great horse back riding terrain, too. Bikers, joggers and horses! Can't beat that.

I am painting my horse trailer today, too. I am going patriotic today. RED, WHITE and BLUE. I might even get a flag in there somewhere. Mostly, just the right colors. IT needed grinding and priming, and now painting to protect it. I can't afford a new one, so this is a good alternative.

I have stuck to my points since Tues. last. I am learning the system, counting points, figuring out values of foods, etc. and it is helping me chose wisely to feel full. I am hoping for a 2 lb loss and also I have a 10% goal weight of 256 to shoot for. Doesn't seem so overwhelming that way, as I am 282 1/2 right now. YIKES, how did I let it get that bad????

Well, bunny, don't feel like you slight people when you don't respond to each and every one of us, as I can't do it either. I would have to journal along, keeping a written diary of all who enter, and I don't have the time... maybe in time I can learn you all, but for now, just posting what I am doing is helpful. IF people don't respond to that, it is ok with me. I do it for me, I guess. WRITING it down makes it more real for me. SO, with that in mind, I hope you all have a great MEMORIAL DAY, and please lets not forget what this day is really all about, and say a huge prayer for those in the military still fighting daily to keep us safe!!! kurly

I'd like to join this! I'm at 246 and starting WW on Monday -- I can't wait to start seeing the number get smaller (but keeping motivated and going is going to my tough spot!)

OK, if everyone agrees that it can be a royal pain trying to respond to everyone's post and just too darned stressful, why don't we make it a new rule that you don't have to respond to anybody else's post. Just tell us what you've been doing and we'll all assume that the post is for all of us.
If somebody has a question and wants advice, then we can all feel free to respond with that person's name in a post.
Otherwise, don't worry about it.
Does that work for everyone?
