Well my mother and I started January 5th and lost our five percent yesterday! So if your really strict, like us and exercise, you should get there within three weeks!
No one can tell you that because your 10% may be 5 pounds or 10 pounds or like some others it may be more.
Average healthy safe rate of loss OP is between .5-2 pounds a week with the exception that many have larger loses the first 1-3 weeks due to water retention that is lost.
Well your 10% is 22 pounds. No offense meant to the previous poster that said three weeks, but there's not much chance that you'll lose 22 pounds in three weeks. If your 10% was 12 pounds or something, that would be more feasible.
I started WW 3 weeks ago and lost 5 pounds the first week, 2 the second week and 1.6 the third week. Based on that, I'm expecting to lose 1-1.5 pounds a week (on average) for a while going forward and expect that will slow some as I get lighter. I'm exercising about 2.5-3 hrs a week at a moderate level (which, even though I wear a HR monitor, some days feels like I'm running a marathon for a speed record).
So I'd estimate that my 10% (26 pounds) will take another 11-14 weeks, so about 3-4 months in total.
You definitely can't expect to lose faster than 2 pounds a week on average unless you're working out a LOT. Personally, I'm just returning to a workout program and that would be unreasonable for me to attempt at this point.
even her 5% is 11 pounds and that in 3 weeks may or may not be possible EVEN WITH being 110% OP and excercising. Everyone is different so really no one can tell her how long it will take. Just sayin'
AugustGold, I changed only my diet and lost 20 pounds in three months. Once I up'd my game and started serious exercising and calorie counting, it came off more rapidly for certain. Good luck to you!
