Frustrated...

  • ...and angry at myself. My daughter is getting married in less than 2 months, I had 9 months to plan and lose 20 pounds and instead I sit here five pounds HEAVIER. I am disgusted, hate the thought of her wedding pictures depicting this out-of-shape mama, so wanted to reveal the "new me" and have her be proud of me.

Realistically how much weight could I lose on WW in the next 6 weeks? 12 pounds if I really kicked butt? sigh..

Just needed to vent, thanks for "listening."
  • You are about to experience the most exciting day in your daughter's life -- my mom is very overweight, but I'll let you know something -- the day of my wedding all I saw was my mother looking the most beautiful I had ever seen her, smiling, laughing and sharing in the most important day of my life.

Relax -- stick to your plan and you will lose before the wedding, but please don't stress out -- in my case, I've allowed my weight to alter the way I experience life, unfortunately, and have missed out on 100's of wonderful opportunities/events -- don't let it take over such a special day!!!
  • Ditto what Shelby said!
  • Hello,

First, congrats to your daughter! How exciting!

I do not know what the normal weight lose is, I just got weighed in for my 6 weeks and I lost 26lb. I have followed flex strictly and exercised moderately.

I am sure you will look gorgeous at your daughters wedding! There is nothing more stunning than a happy mama!!
  • I think it depends how strict you are and how healthy you are about losing the weight? You should still eat all of your points everyday, and follow the healthy guidelines. Instead of trying to lose 25 pounds, maybe set mini goals for yourself, like 5 pounds at a time. I agree with everyone else, your daughter will look at you that day and just see the beautiful mom who loves her!
  • 12-15 if you drink your water, eat the right foods in the right amounts and get some exercise.

but what you can also do is splurge on some really good foundation garments. they will make a world of difference.
