1-2 pounds is the average for a healthy weight loss- that is about what i average with weight watchers

I'm no longer doing WW, I'm doing calorie counting now, but when I was doing WW it was around 2 lbs per week for the first month or so, then it went down to about 1 lb per week.

I'm losing about 5lbs/month, or the low side of 1-2lbs/week. Usually though I have two weeks of 2+ lb losses and two weeks of either small gains or maintenance.

Just slightly over 1lb per week; 7.4 in 7 weeks. This is the slowest rate of weight loss I've ever had, but I'm hoping that means it will stay off!

1-2lbs a week. I've been yo-yo'ing a bit, due to general slackness with tracking my points. However, I think the average is just over 1lb.

mine averages out at just over 2#/week, but really I had a large loss the first week and have done mostly 1#/week in reality. I sure wish it'd come off a little quicker.

Sorry to kind of go off topic a second -- but I have a question --

I just had an absolutely horrible day -- looking forward to putting it behind me tomorrow and starting over again -- will one very bad day (meaning I didn't even track points after I finished my 35 "extras") affect my weight loss for the week if the rest of the week I do extra good? (my weigh in day is Monday)

It all depends on the person - your body, metabolism, eating habits and exercise habits! You really control it all (well most of it!!)

A healthy safe rate of weight loss AVERAGES .5-2 pounds a week. That doesn't mean each week you will lose at least .5 pounds and as much as 2 pounds. It means your average of the weeks you've been on it.

the past 9 weeks I have lost a total of 14.6 pounds which means I am averaging 1.62222 pounds. Some of those weeks I've only lost .1 and had at least 1 gain week.
