Default Maybe it's time to join the meetings

On Thursday we had a special dinner (way off points) for my daughters birthday. On Friday I decided since I had already screwed up, I may as well enjoy whatever I wanted for a day. I tried to get back on track yesterday but couldn't seem to get focused. I mean who will know right? Do those of you who go to the meetings think that you feel more accountable because someone else weighs you? I need something to give me a push to try harder!

Definitely, someone else weighing you or even weighing with you makes you more accountable. If you don't want to go to meeting is there someone else you can weigh with or report your ups/downs?

Since New Years, DH and I weigh in together tuesday mornings, we have a whiteboard by the scale and mark down our weights. So far it's working for us.

I've gone to probably a thousand meetings in my weight loss journey. I do love them. I still use tools I learned 15 years ago when I first started going. I'm trying to get back to goal before I start at a new location, just to save some money, since my @work program got cancelled, otherwise I'd still be going there.

You learn more about working the WW program from your leader and a big thing you learn at meetings is that ev1 is going through the same things, and you might get some strategies for getting through times like you are now. If you can I recommend going to the meetings and staying for the meeting, not just getting weighed in. You may have to try a couple different nights/leaders to get a good fit.

Some people can't do meetings for a variety of reasons, but if you can I think you should. Of course, that's just my opinion...

I'm definitely a meetings promoter! Not only the weekly weigh-in accountability, but being around so many people how are going through or have gone through similiar episodes really keeps me in check. I can put everything into perspective, and then move on with a new week.

And oh gosh I've "messed up" SO MANY TIMES. But after that meeting I feel all fresh & new & motivated, even for a short period of time. It's worth it.

I love the meetings! I did WW when I was in highschool and lost 65 pounds through it going to meetings, when I stopped going I gained about 20 pounds over the course of a year and then stayed at that weight until I got pregnant. After my pregnancy, and about 50 pounds heavier, I tried WW online, at home- and I couldn't get back into the game. I would change my weigh in day, wouldn't weigh in, and I couldn't really commit myself. I joined back going to meetings on 12/22 and I am losing again! I don't make the actual meeting every week becuase I have a 2 year old that won't sit though it- but having someone to weigh me in is a huge motivator- it was something that doing it at home could not give to me! Best of luck to you
