Default ww's and alli?

hey everybody! newly starting my weight loss journey (again...)! i've been doing ww for about 2 weeks now, proudly this is the first time i have done it that long without cheating on my points!! last fall i tried alli and saw success with it so i am wondering if anybody has put the two together? a co-worker said she didn't believe that alli would do any good since ww is already low fat. i am thinking about buying more because it does help me stay on track (nobody wants side effects!), but i also don't want to feel like i am wasting money if it isn't going to make a difference.

Welcome to 3FC!
I'm moving your question to the WW forum where it'll get more coverage.

jmb, WW can be as lowfat or as high fat as you want to make it. Depends on what you want to use your points for. If alli was working for you, give it a try with the WW and see what happens. They are tools to help in the weight loss and healthier eating way of life. And if they help you really think about what you are eating, more power to them!! Good luck in whatever you choose to do!!

If you want the benefits of Alli w/o spending the money for it, you can simply keep each meals fat total to 15 grams or less. What I don't like about Alli is that it blocks all the nutrients from your food during the day while the drug is in your system. That's why you must take a multi-vitamin, and take it at night. Personally, I like knowing that my body is getting all the good nutrients from the healthy foods I'm eating. But that's just me.

thanks for the info, I didn't know that about Alli. I'm trying to stay natural, but you see commercials and such and start wondering...

I lost 9.2 lbs this week taking Alli and doing WW. I'm 61 yo, so I normally don't have big losses.

I am also doing WW and Alli. I think they are a perfect match because if you read the Alli info. you are suppose to eat a low fat diet. The neg. aspect of Alli is if you eat high fat. So I say........let's do it! I bought a 120 pill bottle today.

I'm with you, Izzy. I am still on my first bottle but am planning to get another before I run out.

I used it regurally when I first started. I stopped when I started to develop lower than 5 grams of fat meals. I'll take it when I have a higher fat meal once and a while
