I think I may have asked this before but I wanted to know what to do for my breastfeeding points.
I eat 26-28 a day. They say 36 a day but thats a lot and I havetrouble trying to do that.
Should I be eating that?
Yes, I think you should. The reason is because you're using so many extra calories while breastfeeding, and if you stay at 26 -28 a day now, you probably won't continue to lose after you ween your baby.
You might try to eat healthy, higher calorie foods, following the Healthy 8 Guidelines. For example, you can add nuts which are high in Omega Fats, or higher calories fruits such as bananas.
I have to add - keep in mind that I am neither a doctor nor a nutritionist, though, and you should follow their recommendations.
You were given a great suggestion in the nuts but you can also utilize a whole grain regular bread over low calorie bread, or whole or 2% milk over skim. Eat regular cheese over low fat or fat free. Eat more protein in the form of lean meats. Also are you getting in your 3 healthy oil servings a day. Between that and your dairy that takes up 9-11 of your daily points right there.
