TurboLeda 07-04-2007 11:35 AM

ladies hi!!! never done a "goal" challenge before.....so I say that my goal for July is 4 pounds! seems so little, but I know it'll be a great challenge for me as I've been the same weight for 2+ years!!!
ROCK IT, LADIES!!!!!

eusebius 07-04-2007 12:30 PM

Hi everyone!

Just finished my second run/walk session for the week. Yay! It will take me a while to figure out this flex points thing. So far I haven't used any of them ... but I have been a little bit hungry at times ... I guess I just have to give myself time to make the adjustment.

princess_peach - how are you doing today? Back on track? Good for you for keeping a positive attitude!!

Hi TurboLeda - sounds like your goal is a good one. I see that you haven't got a massive amount of weight to lose ... so sometimes it just takes a bit longer right??? Go for it!!

Happy 4th all you Americans :)

cheers
Erika

Hi Erika, thanks for the encouragement!

Yep, I went to the gym this morning--72 minutes of cardio :dizzy: and I've been eating healthy all day so I'm feeling really good. So much better than the usual guilt I feel. Attitude changes are just as important as physical/health changes and I think that's my biggest obstacle.

Have a good day all!

eusebius 07-04-2007 01:55 PM

:cheer: Yay Princess Peach - Well done!! You said it ... I would even say attitude changes are even more important because they cause us to make the health changes we need. And you have the 'tude :)

cheers
Erika

hi guys

CHS_teacher 07-05-2007 09:03 PM

I'm up for a challenge, too!

This HAS to be the month I drop five pounds! I'm a lifetime member who has been about a pound above goal weight since the beginning of this year. I am having trouble staying on-plan on weekends and on holidays.

Hey everyone! :)

:welcome3: to Susan!

I've found that when I have trouble on weekends, I just starting writing. I mean, I'll write what I want to eat and how good it will taste and everything and then I move on to other stuff, and the next thing I know my craving or "bad" moment has passed. Doesn't always work, but it's helped me a few times ;)

Good evening challengers!

I used some extra points today but I'm not worried ... I had only used 2 of my flex points so far this week. So, 24.5 total today. Including a beer :) Also I walked for an hour. The weather was just beautiful in the late afternoon here after a day of showers.

Hi Courtnie, where in BC do you live? My brother and his wife live in White Rock. I hope to get out to visit them soon. good job on a successful week!

Hi Andrea!

Welcome Susan! Wow, another lifetimer among us! I'm curious ... what made you decide to aim for a lower goal weight? No criticism implied! I am just wondering.

Princess Peach, I love your writing suggestion! I bet actually eating the food would not be as fantastic as I would imagine writing about it.

Hi Debbie! Wow 100 lbs - that is an amazing milestone. I hope you have major celebrations/rewards planned!!

Have a great night everyone!

cheers
Erika

klawster 07-06-2007 12:23 AM

debbie i am so excited for you....had work pays off ! I weighed in on wednesday and gained 1 lb. lot better than i thought to be honest. tonight my dd and i went for a bike ride for twenty mintues.

never thought the extra twenty plus pound of DD would wear me out but it sure did ( i take her in a pully behind the bike). had a blast with her. it is my goal to keep up with riding with her.

CHS_teacher 07-06-2007 10:26 AM

Thanks for making me feel welcome!

Princess Peach--I'll just have to be more careful and not give in to cravings! I should just go work outside or go for a walk. I find it's hard, too, when eating out.

Eusebius--My goal weight was the upper limit for my height. It was a higher goal weight than I felt comfortable with. I am in between 5'6" and 5'7" and my leader suggested I go with the range for 5'7". I like to have a "cushion" and not have to sweat whether or not I'll be two pounds over goal at weigh-in. I haven't had to pay yet!

We have had several family events so far this summer, and it's hard to turn down well-meaning relatives who prepare that "special dish".

I take long walks, though. I bought myself an iPod and download audiobooks. That is SO enjoyable!
