Question re: lifting weights in heat

anyone else finding the heat a huge obstacle to lifting weights? i do mine at home in a hot basement w only a fan and i just had to do the short version of my routine bc its too hot.

I would say yes, because I find any exercise to be an obstacle with heat/humidity. I just joined a gym and, thank goodness, they keep the AC cold!

I've never done it in heat. I do mine at the gym in the AC or at home in AC. But heat can take energy away not only lifting weights but other activities. Stay really hydrated.

It is much harder to work your muscles in the heat. Keep a fan on, perhaps do a bit less and drink, drink, drink.
