I did some weight watchers meeting a couple years ago and did really well for a couple weeks... at that time I wasn't committed to losing weight.
Anyway, now I am thinking about doing it online - I lost 55 pounds last year doing calorie counting, fell off around Christmas and I am having a hard time getting back on track and seem to slowing be gaining weight - I am back on track with my counting now but i am considering doing weight watchers for a couple months to mix it up.
My real question is how many of you do WW online? do you like it? Is it worth the money? Money is tight for me right now and well I don't mind the monthly fee of $20 the sign up fee of $40 shocks me! If I do some digging at home I can find all my books from before... do I just try and do it on my own?
what are you thoughts? those of you that are doing it online?
thanks!
sorry, I am SO BLIND! Just saw the WW at home section! - maybe someone could move this for me?

I've done WW Online and it did not help me at all. It's just a logging tool, I can get that from fitday or spark people. I didn't really see the point to it.
AMEN ANNE!
I hated..all three times I tried it (yeah I am a slow learner), not worth the money with much better options out there for free, plus I didn't find the boards very friendly...a comment you'll hear often on here.
I use the online tools for logging my food, but I go to meetings as well. I really need the support system from the meetings - seeing people IN PERSON and actually physically interacting with them and stuff than just online. I view 3FC as a support tool as well, but I would never give up my meetings. I did that once and I ended up gaining back 90% of the weight I lost.
I don't like the WW boards very much, as some people tend to be unfriendly as Misty said and also they are not organized well (like 3FC is!). I would suggest going to meetings and still using the online tools. If they offer the monthly pass in your region, then you get the online tools for free and your cost per meeting ends up being less than if you paid weekly.
I've never done meetings..only online.. Most of the time I've been losing weight (about a year and a half now) I have done it with WW online. The tools to log is convient but right now I cant afford it so I have just been journaling on my own. But it works if you work with it.. Good luck with your decision!
Online gives you all the tools meetings too other than the face-to-face contact. Many people are succesful doing just online. It all is a personal choice and how accountable you are to yourself only.
I know many, many who have gotten to goal and have kept the weight off doign just online.
personally I need the accountability of paying to weigh (I never stay for the meetings)...
