core vs. flex

  • I have done flex and lost 124 pounds on it last time then got pg with my 2nd son now i'm just struggling with myself with losing weight having a hard time finding time for me for exercise with 2 lilguys to chase after lost 10lbs in 3 weeks and have put 4 back on in a week i cant seem to get under 200 pounds this time dont knwo what i'm doing wrong counting all my pts but, cant get the scale tomove its up and down.

anyone else have this problem ?

have anyone done flex and then changed and done core and had great success with it?

is the core plan hard to do?

how do you ladies with very small ones find time for youand exercise i have a double stroller for taking walks but, my 8 month old screams and cries everytime i head down the driveway with the stroller 3 year oldloves it ihavemy leslie sansone tapes but, again my 8 month old is teething rightnow and wants/needs to be cuddled alot and dh works crappy hours gets up fora bit goes to work all evening and then home and sleep
  • yes i had the same problem on flex. at best, inconsistent results. although i gotta say that your gain sounds like water weight to me. but still, yes i know the feeling of seeing the scale iiiiinch down, shoot up, inch down, etc.

core isn't hard necessarily, but it requires more work and more planning. by work i mean cooking and prepping food, and also working to find things to modify to be core friendle because it is easy to get in a food rut with restrictive diets. i personally like the food a great deal and if you keep adherence to the programs equal, i have seen better results on core. plus i find myself generally eating better. i get my oils in and good fats and lots of dairy and veggies, whereas before i shied away from stuff like that because it ate up all my points.

give it a shot for a week or two. (it took me about a week to get accustomed and then i really saw a loss the second week). then if it is too hard to manage go back to flex. but you should give it an honest go.
  • just another perspective -- me, I can't tell when I am full...I eat and eat and eat. If someone said I could eat "all I wanted" until I was full -- I would be eating to "exploding" point. For me Core did not work and I gained weight (and yes I tried....and tried and tried). I am doing Flex and maybe once I get down to where I feel confident with KNOWING when I am full, I will try it. Just my $.02! :-).... wow on losing all that weight! Remember that kids change all the rules (God bless them). Be gentle with yourself! One day at a time. Count all the positives you have done TODAY and mini-goal set for tomorrow!

So the 8 month old...loves to be cuddled? I remember my kids when they were that little (honestly I do!). I remember sitting on the floor and putting the little one sitting on my feet with my knees up...holding her hands and rocking back so she would be lifted up with my legs. She loved it and I got in some exercise at the same time. Same thing goes with the kids playing on the floor. Lay down on the floor with them and do some simple leg lifts. It's movement that counts! I bought one of those mini trampolines and have it by the washer and dryer in my basement -- I force myself to jump on it while the washer fills with water (ok so it's not that many minutes...but at least it is a little bit -- was cheap too, about $30 at Wally world!).
  • thanks ladies for your help i really really appreciate support makes all the difference in the world
