Default Help I'm a self sabotager!

Ok so I'm looking for a little guidance or advice or a good kick in the pants! I am about 3 to 5 lbs away from goal - I'm almost there. It doesn't matter how my week starts I sabotage myself before weigh in comes. I've actually been doing flex but didn't know if it might be smart to switch to core at this point. Nevertheless, the point is I keep sabataging my success.

HELLLPPP!

LOL I can certainly relate, but I'm not even close to goal yet!! My leader suggested to several of us to give Core a try for a week, just to switch-it-up a little bit. I started last Friday, and I don't weigh until tomorrow. I'm feeling confident about the weigh in tomorrow after doing Core. I've ended up using several (like bunches) of those extra points because I just felt the "need" for non-Core food.

Give it a try, and let us know how it goes!! I'm leaving on a trip right after weigh in so I can't report back on how I did. I'm hoping to at least move my tracker in the right direction though when I get back.

I ended up losing 1.5 when I weighed last week after doing Core. Since I was gone over the weekend, I wasn't able to stick to it at all because where I was there wasn't a choice in our meals. Hopefully, I won't have a gain and I can stick to Core foods from now until then.

Isn't the self-saboteur the most common variety? I know whereof you speak-- I've been near that 10% goal so many times and failed, it's too embarrassing to let my meeting leader recognize me for finally achieving it (knock on wood, I WI tommorrow and the cursed fluctuation devils may make their appearance!)

MamaBear, it is time for some of those mental games/ exercises like visualization, etc. "If you build it, they will come" quoting Field of Dreams, meaning try thinking about a number lower than your goal, ignore your goal sothat maybe you can just slip past it......!

Mamabear, I know exactly what you're talking about. It took me a while to get to my 10% and I would get so close, then just gain even 0.6lb. or so. Now it's getting to 199 (Onederland). It seems like it's taking so long. I got to 201.4, only had 0.2 lb. to lose to get to a 45 lb. weight loss and started getting off track again. Today I finally made it! It took us a while to gain the weight. I guess it's going to take a little time and a lot of adjustments to get the weight off and keep it off. Best Wishes on reaching your goal.
