Red face Ugh! Too many Girl Scout cookies!!!

I do not even know what I was thinking!!!

I ordered 10(!!!) boxes from a local girl scout back in Jan and now my life is completely different! I wish I had never done it. I've been offering cookies to everyone who walks through my door!

I have been committed to my weight loss since Jan 1 and I have lost 21lbs and not had a week that I didn't lose something. This may be the first week I don't lose!

There are only about 4 boxes left but I'm about to let my hubby and 3 boys eat them ALL! I just want them gone!

I thought I'd be strong enough, but I'm just not. BUT...I've done better than I would have before Jan1. So I guess that's a positive. *sigh*

Well, I dont think it's that your NOT strong. If you werent strong you wouldnt have lost 21 pounds already. It's just a minor setback. Just get rid of them and start fresh on Monday or whenever they are gone. Put them in the freezer for now so they arent hanging around. Besides, its not like you ordered them when you were already on a diet. GOod luck, Im sure you'll be fine!!!

I agree! Get rid of them and remember what you have already accomplished! Besides, I think it's a great accomplishment in itself to give away something like GS cookies! Be proud - you ARE a strong woman!!

(and don't buy them next year!)

I agree with the advice to get rid of them. Freezing them would not work for me (have you ever had the thin mints straight out of the freezer - yum!). Take them into work or to your church/friend's house/wherever.

And most importantly - do not beat yourself up over this. You've been doing great, and this is a minor setback. All you have to do is make sure the long term trends are headed in the right direction and an occasional detour is no big deal.

I have done exactly the same thing...I can't throw them out and I end up eating them because I don't want to waste them! Its crazy, the only person who is getting hurt is me! Good for you to stop now and I agree with everyone else, dump them, give them to a local foodbank, just get them out of the house!

Exactly!! My weakness were the Tagalongs (Peanut Butter Patties). I could eat a box daily. They were even better frozen.

Thank goodness Im not a GS leader anymore. Ive had to deal with a mountain of cookies for the past 4 years.

Thanks, Ladies! I appreciate the encouragement.

I agree that freezing them would not work for me! (Mmmmm! THIN MINTS!) But I think the DH and my boys have them about polished off. Yay!!!

Yes, it was a minor setback. I'm not going to let it slow me down. Gonna restock my cabinets and fridge with HEALTHY choices and move on.

THANK YOU! It's wonderful to be encouraged!

I feel your pain. Girl Scout cookies are the one treat I absolutely can't live without so I know what you mean. They're way too expensive to order more than 2-3 boxes and ugh, they're so high in points. I had to get creative, because I had to have my yearly fix. We ended up buying a half galon of Edy's Girl Scout ice cream. 4 points for half cup and a lot more treat. It's happily all gone now, with no plans on buying anymore (though I may give in on that one for my period and just give the rest to my mom when that's over ) but ughhhh. I definitely feel your pain.
